Tanya with a happy G&C client on Nuanetsi Conservancy, sustainably hunting a giraffe bull. We recognize the sensitivity around this subject, but it’s important to highlight the conservation role these hunts play. Giraffe numbers on Nuanetsi are strong, and when populations grow beyond sustainable levels, they can negatively impact their select food sources, leading to habitat pressure for themselves and other species. Carefully managed quotas, based on scientific monitoring, ensure balance across the ecosystem. Revenue from these hunts supports anti-poaching and local communities, while the meat provides much-needed protein. Responsible utilization like this remains vital to long-term giraffe conservation

Regulated hunting of non-trophy elephant bulls is not poaching. It’s conservation.
In Zimbabwe, up to 80% of hunting revenue goes directly to rural communities. That funds schools, clinics, jobs, and anti-poaching patrols.
Non-trophy bulls are often older, non-breeding, or aggressive individuals removed for population and conflict management.
The meat doesn’t go to waste—it feeds hundreds of people locally.
Sustainable use gives wildlife economic value, which helps keep land wild and protected. Without it, elephants become a cost, not an asset, to local people.
