That’s a wrap on MatTime Summer Wrestling Camp 2026.
This was a great week for the room.
We had wrestlers from several schools throughout Placer County come together, work hard, and learn from Coach Matt Sanchez, a 2x NCAA Division I All-American and 4x NCAA Qualifier.
The boys got a lot of high-level technique under their belts, including advanced takedowns, setups, finishes, defense, riding, pinning systems, and match strategy.
A big thank you as well to Coach Gary Garcia for being there to help out. Gary is a California Hall of Fame wrestling coach and the father of our Head Wrestling Coach, Adrian Garcia. Any time we can get that kind of coaching knowledge in the room, our kids are better for it.
The mood was great.
The boys worked hard.
The room got better.
And as a result, Northern California wrestling got a little better along the way.
This is what we’re trying to build at MatTime: serious training, strong fundamentals, good coaching, and a room full of wrestlers who want to improve.
And we’re not stopping here.
MatTime wrestling continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays for multiple age groups — from our youngest wrestlers learning balance, body control, and confidence, to junior wrestlers building a stronger technical foundation, to high school wrestlers preparing for the next season.
Our current wrestling classes include:
✅ Little Kids Wrestling — Ages 5–8
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:00–3:45 PM
✅ Middle School / Junior Wrestling — Ages 8–13+
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:00–5:00 PM
✅ High School Wrestling — Grades 8–12
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:00–6:30 PM
Whether your child is just getting started or already serious about competing, MatTime has a room for them to keep learning, keep building, and keep getting better.
The camp may be over, but the work continues.
