Jessie began riding as a young child and when her family moved in next door to an eventing trainer she began mucking stalls in exchange for lessons on her appaloosa pony. She absorbed as much knowledge as she could before moving on to the next trainer whom she held a working student position with for 2 years eventually leading up to assisting in managing the day to day activities around the barn a

nd scheduling/giving majority of the lessons and exclusively riding all of the training horses that came in. She is extremely grateful for everyone who has helped her along the way and 5 years ago started her own business and has been running it ever since. She has knowledge and experience through preliminary level eventing, prix st. george in dressage and has competed through the 1.20m jumpers. She has mostly specialized in restarting and resales of off the track thoroughbreds and is able to take even the nuttiest horse and turn it into a competitor or top sales prospect. She believes strongly in the horses nutrition being a major role of their success and in doing so places it at the top on her list of priorities along with correct shoeing and proper turn out. All of the horses are on a steady exercise regimen and she includes fitness work as a part of her training at least twice per week. She has partnered up with neighbors West Coast Equine Sports Therapy and has horses receiving treatments with them every week as a preventative measure. This is a very competitive barn, we like to get out as often as possible for shows and schooling. We follow the dressage circuit as well as the eventing circuit and so cater to both clientele.
