When this department was first developed, athletics were the only service provided; in addition, we now offer a variety of activities to include programs for tiny tots, fitness classes, cultural arts and group encounters designed for senior citizens. We feel that the constructive use of leisure time in useful recreation pursuits will increase the participant's knowledge and skills, and improve their health (Mental and physical) is a community resource of great value.

Bring the kid's for a fun craft at the Rockingham Recreation Center instructed by THE CREATIVE ART STUDIO. This class is open to ages 5 and older. Bring the kid's and let them create this "Under the Sea" craft on a 6"x12" piece of wood using shells and stones. They will be instructed step by step in making this project. They will begin by painting the ocean on the board. Next we will select shells and stones and glue them on to create the ocean with fish. Lastly, we will attach a string of jute for them to use for hanging at home. This will be a super fun craft they will enjoy making while having fun with others.

Join our Youth Volleyball Clinic for a fun and instructional experience! Players will learn volleyball fundamentals, improve their skills, and feel more comfortable and confident on the court. Perfect for all skill levels who want to grow their confidence and love for the game. Led by experienced coaches in a positive and supportive environment. Once FULL there will be an wait list. Join us this Saturday in celebrating the gracious donations and services of our local Rotary Clubs!
We will celebrate the new pieces of inclusive playground equipment that local rotaries helped us purchase with remarks (at the playground) at 10am.
There will be a volunteer work session in which we install a hedge of scrubs that will serve as a safety barrier between the street and the new playground area.
We are combining all of this with a canned food and coat drive. Delivery to the Recreation Center 9:00am-10:30am.
