Shoutout to Carol! One challenge Carol faces is Hip Dysplasia. That means she’s dealing with pain and instability in her hip. There’s musculoskeletal, mobility, strength, and balance issues. My job is to improve that, along with helping her get in the best damn shape.
This is the best I’ve seen the Lateral Side Lunge performed with a TRX by Carol and that’s due to a multitude of things.
1. A Specific Fitness Routine geared toward her needs
2. A Chiropractor -
3. Yoga
4. Nutrition
I share this because it’s important to know that to be optimal in your fitness endeavors, you may need to do the necessary things to achieve your goals and, in order to live pain free.
Health isn’t pick and choose what you do, it’s a collective.
Great job Carol - Excellent Work!

Training vs Working Out

Here is the difference =

Training is a structured, goal-oriented process designed to improve specific performance metrics and/or physical adaptations.

Working Out is general physical activity performed for immediate health benefits, enjoyment, or stress relief, often without a long-term plan or specific measurable goal.

Stop wasting your time and DM TRAIN for your first training session. It starts one step at a time. 💪🏻

Standards And Structure = Winning

Standards shape your identity.
Having a routine will set you up for your success. A routine is a structure that you do on an automatic daily basis.
You become the person you’re destined to be by the values you have and keeping the promises you made to yourself.
Your morning routine will set the tone for your day. What you eat in the morning and what your actions are WILL dictate whether you are successful or detrimental for losing in life - mentally, physically, emotionally.
When you eat right and fuel your body right, you make time to workout, work on self development, time block for your sleep and meal prep - your quality of life will be great. You will have made a commitment to yourself and will become disciplined so that you handle the challenges life throws at you.
When you set the bar low and run on caffeine, junk food or no eating all day, slack off with your workouts, scroll on social media, poor sleep pattern, you put yourself in a poor quality of life. You can’t function, you can’t overcome anxiety, you can’t do anything and you have this victimhood feeling.
You must show up - be the person you want to be. Find what works for you!
What are your standards for your mindset, physique, relationships, finances, and faith? These should be nonnegotiable. Be specific, be clear and set a deadline. Having standards and structure means you respect yourself.
Don’t be one of these people who say, I can’t follow routines. That’s false - you have a routine and it sucks and that’s why your life sucks. It’s a harsh truth.
Get your priorities together - being overweight, depressed, broke, and lazy is a choice. You have the tools and responsibility to create the winning version of yourself with setting high standards and structure.
