S1: for sled ropers who haven't won a check on live calves yet. You move up to #1 after winning a check on live calves or winning the S1 twice.

#1 Beginner: slow calves for ropers with fewer than 3 breakaway checks. Win 3 checks and you move up to #2.

At the Fall Classic, the Smarty Shootout (sled, coed) and the #1 Rattler Shootout (slow calves) both run both days, and every roper starts somewhere. Tag someone who's ready to get started ๐Ÿ”ฅ
