The Hobbs Breakaway Bash is Sep 18โ€“19 in Hobbs, NM, a 2027 Cinch BRC Finale Super Qualifier with $5,000 added. Books open at 7:30 AM, roping starts at 10 AM both days. Enter on-site, just show up ready to rope.

Six divisions, big payouts, and a spot for every level: Total Feeds, Inc. Open, #5 CINCH JEANS Slide, #3 Priefert HC, #2 American Hat Company Shootout, Youth 12 & Under, and #1 Smarty Rodeo Shootout.

#1 โ€” Brand new to the sport, hasn't won 3 checks, roping on a sled to build confidence.
#2 โ€” Under $3,000 LTE, ready for live calves but not fast cattle yet.
#3 โ€” $3,000โ€“$20,000 LTE, improving but not yet finals-tested.
#4 โ€” $20,000โ€“$60,000 LTE, no pro card in the last two years.
#5 โ€” $60,000โ€“$100,000 LTE, multiple-time amateur finalist.

Hear it from the Champion herself ๐ŸŽฅ Skylar Self's win in the #1 Smarty Rodeo Shootout at Mama Of 'Em All in Cheyenne, WY was her FIRST EVER breakaway roping win, turning in a 17.78 on 3 to bring home $120 and her first Champion title. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

For those who don't know, our #1 division is built exactly for moments like this. It's for ropers who are brand new to the sport and haven't won 3 checks yet, roping on a sled to build confidence before moving up through the classification system. That's the whole point of how we do this, every level has a real shot at a Champion title, no matter where you're starting from.

She backed into the box on Day 1 and won the #3 Priefert HC. Then came back Day 2 and doubled down, winning the #5 CINCH JEANS Slide AND the #3 Priefert HC again.
