Today’s motivation Monday post. Don’t let yourself be a victim. Everyone in the world will have circumstances that do not favor them. Whether it be in the gym or in your everyday life. Don’t let yourself fall into the habit of being a victim. Take your circumstances and try to turn them around for the better. Here’s something new I’m trying out for the team page! Weekly programming Thursday tips! For the first programming Thursday tip it’s “Start Light, Start Right.” What we mean by this is when you are designing your own program do not start with your true 100% max. Start with 85% to 90% of your one rep max. This should be something you can hit with no elevated stimulus. This will allow you to be able to progress longer without a plateau. Too many times I see people begin a program with 100-103% of their one rep max and stall out after a few cycles and have nowhere to go. The same can be said for your accessories. When you track accessories you can see the same affect. If you start too heavy you cannot keep progressing as the weeks continue. If you start light, you can progress longer. Start light, start right.
Stay tuned next week for a new twist to some post!

Alright I’ve finally decided to start using the page to try and reach some more of an audience. I’m going to start with some spotlights of lifters who have been a part of the team in some shape, way, form or fashion.

My name is James Rowe and I started this team a few years after my father got diagnosed with cancer. I’ve always wanted a team and I used to just have a logo with my name on it, but once everything happened with my dad the name “Rowe Strong” was born and I just ran with it.

I’ve been competing on and off for 6 years now. Overall I’ve set 18 records in different divisions and competed both on the National and world level. Due to life I’ve competed all the way from 220 to the super heavyweight division. I’m competing next at the APF Holiday Bash with some of the other lifters I’ll be spotlighting over the next few days/weeks! Come follow us on our journey and we are always willing to help!
