✨ SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: OLIVIA KARLBERG ✨

Today we are celebrating Olivia Karlberg, a recent graduate of Duxbury High School, who will attend Boston College this fall as a Neuroscience major.

Olivia joined the Etoile Competition Team in 2024 and quickly became an important part of our studio community. During her time at Etoile, she earned numerous awards and accolades while demonstrating the dedication, maturity, and work ethic that helped her excel both in and out of the studio.

In addition to her competitive dance schedule, Olivia balanced an impressive list of academic and extracurricular commitments. She was a member of National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Math Team, Bio Club, Humanitarian Club, and Needs for Necessities, all while maintaining the high standards she set for herself as a dancer, student, and leader.

We are especially proud of Olivia for creating the Etoile Legacy Scholarship. After assisting with our summer programs last year, Olivia chose to donate the money she earned to establish a scholarship that would give back to a younger dancer in our community. This winter, the first-ever Etoile Legacy Scholarship was awarded to Evie Campbell, creating a lasting impact that will continue long after Olivia’s graduation.

Olivia’s kindness, generosity, and commitment to serving others have made a meaningful difference at Etoile. We are incredibly grateful for the example she has set and the legacy she leaves behind.

Congratulations, Olivia! We are so proud of everything you have accomplished and cannot wait to see all that you achieve at Boston College and beyond. Your future is bright, and we know this is only the beginning. ⭐️💫

✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: CALLIE MIKKOLA ✨

As we prepare for Showcase 2026, we are celebrating a very special milestone. This Saturday marks Callie’s final showcase as a dancer at Etoile. 💙⭐

A recent graduate of Pembroke High School, Callie joined our Competition Team in the fall of 2019 and has been an important part of our studio family ever since. Over the years, she has earned numerous awards and accolades on stage while becoming a trusted leader within our studio community.

Beyond her accomplishments as a dancer, Callie has assisted classes, worked the front desk, and even chose Etoile for her senior project, where she explored dance education and studio management. Her willingness to learn, lead, and help wherever needed has made a lasting impact on both our staff and younger dancers.

Callie’s strong work ethic has always stood out. Throughout high school, she successfully balanced academics, a part-time job, competitive dance, field hockey, and lacrosse, all while remaining a dedicated member of our team.

This fall, Callie will attend Bridgewater State University as a Dance Education major. We are excited to share that her journey with Etoile is far from over, she will continue teaching with us this fall and will be working alongside Miss Erin throughout our summer programs.

While Saturday will be her final bow as an Etoile student, we are grateful that she will continue to be part of our studio family in a new role. We cannot wait to watch her grow as an educator, pursue her dreams, and continue sharing her love of dance with the next generation.

Congratulations, Callie! Thank you for seven incredible years of dedication, leadership, and unforgettable memories. Once an Etoile dancer, always an Etoile dancer. 💙✨

🚨 SHOWCASE DRESS REHEARSAL UPDATE 🚨

As many of you may know, Town Meeting is taking place tonight at Marshfield High School beginning at 7:00 PM, which will impact parking and traffic during this evening’s dress rehearsals.

To help make arrival as smooth as possible, we strongly encourage families to utilize Coach Lou Silva Drive (next to the football field), park behind the school, and enter through the back entrance. We will have faculty members stationed outside to assist families and help direct traffic.

Please plan to arrive a little earlier than usual for your scheduled rehearsal slot to allow extra time for parking and walking into the building.

A few important reminders:
✨ Dancers should report directly to the auditorium and should not be roaming throughout the school.
✨ All dancers should wear a cover-up over their costume when traveling through the building. This can be a bathrobe, oversized button-down shirt, oversized zip-up sweatshirt, or similar item to help protect costumes and keep them performance-ready.
✨ Please remember to be patient, polite, and respectful to school staff, town officials, fellow families, and one another as we navigate a busy evening.

Thank you all for your flexibility and cooperation. We appreciate your support and can’t wait to see our dancers take the stage! ⭐️

Thank you for always keeping our studio doors open, the dancers smiling, the chaos organized, and somehow surviving show season without losing positive Polly. We know it’s all fueled Mary Lou’s, hubby’s cooking, and walks with your four-legged besties 🤍🐾

Here’s to hoping this trip around the sun is your best one yet; filled with love, laughter, Ming nights, a mariachi band performance, and at least one day where nobody asks you “what are we teaching today?” 😅 (and absolutely NO MARLEY flooring projects anywhere in sight).
