Flex on em’ .firsdon.

One of the most humble, hardworking individuals I’ve had the pleasure to work with and I can not wait to watch her play at the next level. Literally think she would have ran through a wall for me when we were training.

Thanks for including me on this special day 🙏.

27 of our TVC athletes showed up to the weight room yesterday to get better at 8pm.

We put up some numbers, moved the weight fast, and worked on our verticals.

Best part about it we had fun while doing it and everyone made sure we got the workout done. The schedule isn’t always going to be the greatest as an athlete but you’re always going to get out what you put in.

Good work showing up ladies 💪. The culture and atmosphere we are building is unbeatable.

Merry Christmas 😁

We tried to get Oakley to pose for us but he was not a fan of the cold cement (rightfully so). So I hope you can appreciate the best picture we could take in the 30 seconds I could have him sit by me.

Strength and Conditioning:
What do we know about it and why does it scare us?

It seems to me a lot of people don't recognize strength and conditioning as a necessity to an athletes career. I hear more and more about skill work and skill development every single day. The problem is a lot of kids don't honestly know how to do the basics which are running, jumping, and stopping.

Strength and Conditioning isn't just about lifting weights and getting big. It's developing an athlete as a whole and there is a science behind it. Unfortunately we don't prioritize a standard when it comes to our youth athletes.

Why is that? The long-term development of an athlete would be improved so much if this was a priority in our schools and in our athletes lives. Strength creates resilience and if done properly as an athlete grows will help decrease the risk of injuries over time.
