ON THIS DATE…Aug 26, 2000… MHS alum Jack Cressend ‘93 made his Major League debut for the Minnesota Twins! Cressend went on to pitch for 5 years in the Bigs with the Twins and the Cleveland Indians. Jack Cressend

Fall baseball is about more than development—it’s about learning how to compete while you develop.

Train. Get stronger. Work on your craft. But don’t overlook the value of stepping between the white lines and competing.

When you arrive on a college campus in August of your freshman year, you’ll be expected to train, practice, develop AND compete—all at the same time.

We caught up with a current SEC assistant to get his thoughts on the subject!

The fall is an opportunity to start preparing for that reality now.

Train with purpose. Practice with intent. COMPETE.

After 20 years in the select baseball world, one thing is for sure ….the ones who are the most consistent and the ones who are the toughest go the furthest….time and time again, this rings true. The game is really hard so you have to just keep showing up and keep grinding. Learn through the adversity, don’t run from it…fight through the struggles, don’t avoid them…..keep showing up, good things will happen

⚔️Christian Bean 27’ from Lincoln High School had quite the summer with only 3ks in 53 plate appearances! Christian is a big framed RHP, Utility player with great athleticism. He showed his versatility this summer playing 5 of 9 positions. Christian had a ton of Hard hit baseballs just not finding green grass this summer. Showing his maturity he continued to lead and make quality defensive plays. Can’t wait to see the work pay off he has been putting in.

Brennan lead our staff in his 4 starts. With command of a 3 pitch mix. With 11/16 k’s being swing and miss. Forced weak contact all summer. Very projectable frame out of the Junior from Vincent Alabama look forward to seeing his growth over the next year.
