Dear Panther Families,
Pelion High School Athletics is pleased to welcome Coach Alyssa Cole as our new Head Softball Coach.
Coach Cole brings with her a wealth of knowledge and playing experience playing in the Southeastern Conference for the University of South Carolina.
Here is a short bio from Coach Cole:
Coach Cole is a former Division I softball player at the University of South Carolina, where she competed as a catcher, first baseman, and designated player in the highly competitive SEC. At South Carolina, she earned regional recognition, contributed as a power hitter, and gained valuable experience competing at the highest level of college softball. After her playing days, she transitioned into coaching, serving as the softball coach at Heathwood Hall Episcopal School from ‘22-’23 and at Northside Christian Academy in '24. Her coaching philosophy focuses on developing strong fundamentals, building confidence, and helping athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field through hard work, discipline, and a love for the game. A message from Coach Cole: “I am so excited to be a part of the PHS family and continue this program’s success and reach the next level of achievements."

We feel that with her experience both on the field and in the dugout, she’s the one to elevate our program and expand on the hard work of Coach Wiles.
