🧟 THANK YOU, ZOMBIES!
Another Zombie Backyard Ultra is in the books, and we can’t say thank you enough to everyone who made this weekend unforgettable!!
To the runners — thank you for showing up, pushing your limits, and coming back to that starting line hour after hour. Seeing so many familiar faces and repeat runners makes us incredibly proud and grateful!
To the crews — thank you for the food, the gear, the encouragement, the middle-of-the-night problem solving, and for keeping your runners moving when they weren’t sure they had another yard in them!
And to our volunteers (Sean Dameron, Logan Cook, John Porterfield, Rachael Hutchens Nichols, Kinsley Dill and kiddos, Amy Stone, David Eastman, and anyone we’ve failed to mention— you are truly the class of our trail family. We appreciate every single one of you!
Last but not certainly not least, thank you to the greatest state park in the 🌎, Oak Mountain State Park! You’ve been the best, most accommodating hosts since ‘21 and we cannot begin to tell you how much that means to us!
We had a record field this year, with runners from 8 states and 2 countries, and watching this event continue to grow while still feeling like one big family reunion is pretty special.
