Brand's Martial Arts- Pekin This is a Ryuki-do school headed by Sensei Anthony Flores sanctioned by Master Michael Brand

I am a dedicated karate instructor with over 20 years of experience in martial arts training and instruction. I hold the rank of 2nd Dan Black Belt in Ryuki Do Karate and have had the privilege of working closely with a World Martial Arts Hall of Fame recognized instructor, gaining extensive knowledge of traditional martial arts, effective teaching methods, and the values that define true training

. My approach to instruction is grounded in strong fundamentals, discipline, and respect, while also embracing practical application. In addition to my karate background, I have cross-trained in Muay Thai, boxing, and several other martial arts styles, allowing me to provide students with well-rounded training that blends traditional technique with modern self-defense principles. At our school, students of all ages learn more than just punches and kicks. We focus on physical fitness, mental focus, confidence, and character development in a structured and supportive environment. Through clear instruction and consistent encouragement, students are challenged to grow at their own pace while building discipline, perseverance, and self-confidence. Whether you are beginning your martial arts journey or continuing your training, my goal is to deliver high-quality instruction and create a positive atmosphere where every student can reach their full potential both on and off the mat.

With gas prices getting so high we have recently added truck pulls to the training rotation 🤣.

Hey everyone buckle up for a longer post.
My instructor and closest friend is going through a rough patch. He recently had his appendix burst which set him and his dojo back, and now his daughter is finally getting a much needed surgery to help with her Scoliosis but that comes with an additional set of struggles during recovery.
His impact on my life is truly without measure. Between his constant support as I opened my dojo to being there whenever I need advice or an ear ive called him more times than I can count. His support shows through in my teaching style, the way I handle my conflicts and the huge amount of confidence I have to get through life.
