In the Adrenalin Gym
Martial Arts of Westchester began teaching Soo Bahk Do a traditional Korean Karate and Kendo in November 2011 in Peekskill NY. We have established a new partnership starting on May 10th with the Adrenalin Gym, 8 John Walsh Blvd., Peekskill, NY 10566. We feel the culture of our new partner is more inline with ours,

Classes
We have two basic types of classes Soo Bahk Do ( Korean Karate ) and Core Fit Bootcamp ( focus on your core and legs ). The karate class is 90 minutes long in includes the Core Fit class but also covers the physical, mental and spiritual (not religious ) aspects of our martial art. Core Fit Bootcamp
We have taken our regular martial art class and condensed the aerobic aspects to the first 45 minutes of our 90 minute class to give individuals interested in only physical aspects of our art. We do not compromise and teach watered down punches or kicks. We will teach you proper techniques which will make these punches and kicks devastating if applied correctly. This bootcamp is typically the first 45 minutes but may run longer some days. As an added bonus you will be welcome to stay and learn the martial art aspect where you will learn how to effectively apply these motions. Please remember this is a martial (military) arts class so it is a disciplined class and will not have fancy workout cloths or disco music. Just lots of sweat and counting. What makes this different than other bootcamps? We will teach you how to kick like a martial artist not like a dancer so if you need to use your kicks they will work. We will teach you how to punch effectively like a martial artists not a boxer. We will increase your flexibility, strength and aerobic capacity. You will lose weight and gain strength
We will NOT have dance music for you. We are here to work hard and seriously not dance. We will NOT have fancy satin uniforms. We are here to work hard not show off how well can dress. We offer you the ability to stay after the Core Fit Bootcamp is done and continue in the martial arts class where you will learn how to apply what you have learned in your Core Fit Bootcamp class. You will not be required to purchase a uniform though many do. You will be expected to have the discipline of a martial artist. This is a “bootcamp” after all and bootcamps come from the military. Typical Class
10-15 min stretching/warm up
30-40 min kicking/punching/combinations OR sword strikes working the upper body like you have never done before
Cool down
