It is with unimaginable sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Coach Ernie this morning.

For so many years, Coach Ernie was far more than a coach at Odyssey Cheer. He touched the lives of countless athletes and families through his kindness, patience, and unwavering support. He was a mentor, a confidant, a friend, and truly a part of the Odyssey family. His impact will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

During this incredibly difficult time, we ask that you please keep Ernie's family, our athletes, coaches, and all who loved him in your prayers. We also ask that you respect the family's privacy and allow them the space and time they need to grieve and process this tremendous loss. Funeral arrangements will be shared as soon as they become available.

Coach Ernie, thank you for the love, guidance, and memories you gave to so many. You will forever be a part of the Odyssey family and you will be deeply missed. 💜

Dear Odyssey Cheer Friends & Family,

We’re grateful to share another update on Ernie.

Ernie is continuing to show encouraging signs of improvement. He is slowly beginning to respond by nodding to commands and moving his arms and opening his eyes. Every small step is a victory, and we are incredibly thankful.

He still has a long road to recovery and will be unable to work for quite some time. If you’re able, please consider donating to help ease the financial burden during this difficult journey. As many of you know, Coach Ernie is still fighting in the ICU and remains in critical condition. We continue to ask for your prayers as he and his family face this incredibly difficult journey.
