Yesterday was bitter-sweet.🧡 The sand in the hourglass ran out faster than we could have ever imagined.
Utah Heat 07 played its final game together.💔 And just like that, a remarkable chapter came to a close. I shed several tears as I thought about these girls, coaches and families who have made such a powerful impact on one another.
THIS TEAM IS SPECIAL.💕
It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come since August 12, 2017— the day we won our very first tournament after merging 10u Heat and 10u Renegades. We had no idea then just how extraordinary this group would become. What started as a team quickly became a family.
Over the years, we’ve traveled the country, celebrated championships, pushed through injury and adversity, and grown stronger together on and off the field.
Building a strong program and culture required time, trust, energy, loyalty and commitment. These girls poured their hearts into this game and team. They learned what it means to fight for one another, straighten each others crown, and to carry themselves with confidence. Every practice, every laugh, and every tear built a bond that doesn’t end with the final out.
To our players: thank you for the memories and the way you’ve represented this team. Your loyalty, hard work and perseverance never went unnoticed. You’ve inspired all of us. You’ve left a legacy that can’t be measured in wins, but in who you’ve become and who you’ll continue to be. We are endlessly proud of you.
To our coaches: you not only taught these girls the game of softball, but how to be good people as well. You showed these girls what it means to lead with love and to compete and play with a purpose. Thank you for every vacation day, birthday and anniversary you gave up to be at the field.
To our families and fans: you were the backbone of this team. Because of you, our stands were always full. Thank you for your unwavering support— not just for your own daughter, but for every single player on this team. You cheered every hit, every catch, every comeback.
To everyone experiencing the end of a chapter today, I want to acknowledge the weight of it. After years of dedication, it’s hard to say goodbye to something that meant so much.
What I hope you’ll remember is that the relationships you’ve built and the skills you’ve developed aren’t lost with this chapter ending. They’re part of your foundation and will serve you well through the next season of your life.
This isn’t the final page—it’s simply the close of one big, beautiful chapter and the beginning of another. Be strong when you are weak, brave when you are scared and humble when you are victorious.
The jerseys may come off, but the pride, the friendships, love and memories last forever.🧡🤍🖤
