Paxton Outdoor Movie Night

Paxton Bandstand (on the fields behind the school via access road at end of school parking lot)
Activities begin at 6:15 Movie starts at sundown (approx. 7:30) Food will be sold at the snack shack.

Yoga classes start on Tuesday September 8th

Vinyasa Slow Flow Yoga with Diane McMorrow

During this class participants will learn to mindfully link movement with breath, while being guided through a series of fluid postures. This will allow the body space to relieve tension, to move with a greater sense of awareness and stability, and to leave class feeling more grounded, centered and fully present.
There will also be a focus on functional movement for improved posture, balance and overall mobility.
This class is taught with an invitational and trauma informed lens, recognizing that yoga is for all bodies and all levels of practice.

During some classes participants will also have the option to use light weights for gentle strengthening of key muscle groups.

Day: Tuesdays from 6:00 to 7:00
When: Starting September 8th – October 27th
Length of session: 8-week class
Where: Paxton Center School Cafe
This program runs from September through June

Fee: $70.00 for all eight weeks, $40.00 for four weeks or $12.00 per drop in

TIME CHANGE TO 4:00

NEW SESSION OF GOLF LESSONS STARTING SEPTEMBER 2ND
Paxton Recreation is teaming up with Kettle Brook Golf Club, 136 Marshall Street, to offer youth golf lessons. Come learn with Golf Professional Steven Tuft.
Boys and Girls ages 6 and up- WEDNESDAYS AT 4:00
A 4-week class for Beginners and Advanced players. Starting Sept 2nd at 4:00 for 4 lessons every Wednesday. The fee is $75.00. Classes are limited to 8 players. Bring your own clubs if you have them.
Please make checks payable to “the town of Paxton” mail to 697 Pleasant ST. Paxton, MA 01612.
Classes will consist of learning grip, stance, and posture, working with irons, teaching the basics of the golf swing including back swing and follow through. We will work with hybrids and drivers off the tee and understand some basic rules of golf. Learn chipping, pitching and sand play. Will be covering rules of etiquette on and around the greens.

Mini Sports for Preschoolers with F.A.S.T Athletics starting Thursday September 17th at 10:00.

Kids Yoga starting Wednesday September 23rd at 3:00 PCS ages 2nd - 4th grade.

Kids Yoga Class with Diane McMorrow
2nd -4th grade

Join us for kids’ yoga on Wednesday afternoons. We will practice mindful movement together in a fun and inclusive environment. Participants will learn creative and imaginative ways to calm their body, minds and feel happy and peaceful inside and out.

2nd through 4th grade

Day: Wednesdays from 3:00 to 3:45
When: Sept 23rd – October 28th
Length of session: 6-week class
Where: Paxton Center School Library – Please bring a note to dismiss to the library
Fee: $50.00 for all Six weeks
