Once Boynton Park was the terminus of a Worcester Consolidated Street Railway line and residents would pack up and picnic at the park on weekends.
Later this was replaced by a bus from the Worcester Bus Company.
Today the WRTA Route 2 provides a stop at the intersection of Pleasant and Mower for public transit access to Boynton Park.

Properly dispose of your litter or take it with you. Thanks!

Litter is a prominent complaint throughout the City. Litter detracts from the beautiful cityscape of Worcester and sends an unwanted message to patrons and visitors. The easiest way to prevent this problem is to not litter! Whether you’re at a city park or walking on the street, if you see litter do your part and dispose of it in a proper receptacle.

Thank you to the hiker who saw the fire and called it in, & Thank you to the Paxton Fire Department for putting the tree fire out.

Remember, Boynton Park is full of streams and springs and the impacts of pet waste are immediate and direct for these fresh water sources that feed public swimming, boating, and fishing areas along the Tatnuck Brook. Please bag and pack out your pet's waste.

Pet waste left in a yard or on the street can result in pollutants being washed into storm drains by rain or melting snow. A single gram of pet waste (about the size of a pea) contains 23 million f***l coliform bacteria! Most storm drains in Worcester drain directly into our local streams and lakes. Please be responsible and pick up after your pet every single time. Throw away pet waste in the garbage- NEVER wash it into the gutter or storm drain.
