šŸ‘‚šŸ» Listen to Sal!

Sal is a 40yr old avid golfer, a busy dad of two active kids, and travels often for work. He has gained muscle, his golf drive is farther than ever, and he’s stronger than ever! He dropped the excuses and fell in love with the process.

I have only four spots available for 1:1 customized training and nutrition guidance.

This type of programming will transform you…physically yes, but more importantly, it will transform you mentally.

How does your level of activity change how you eat? Read & Swipe to find out moreāž”ļø
•
Let’s start by breaking down the Macronutrients & their priority in digestion:
1. Carbohydrates - Fastest digesting macronutrient & most usable form of energy
2. Proteins - second fastest digested macronutrient - last resort energy source - responsible for repair, hormone production, waste removal (enzymatic), cell comms/transport
3. Lipids (Fats)- Slowest digesting macronutrient, longest lasting form of energy - broken down after carbohydrate storage is depleted
•
Now, let’s look at how the body uses these macronutrients for your level of activity:
Low Activity = Less Time in Aerobic Cellular Respiration āž”ļø We need less carbohydrates for immediate energy use
Moderate Activity = more time in Aerobic Cellular Respiration, but not so much that we need to ā€œcarb loadā€ prior to training
High Activity = greatest amount of time spent in aerobic cellular respiration -or- largest calorie output, ā¬†ļø need for carbohydrate consumption

Eat More!

Do you have a goal to lose fat? Gain muscle? Look more toned? Get more fit? Have more energy? Then chances are you need to eat MORE! Good news right?!

I’ve been in the fitness industry for over two decades and the high majority of my clients are not eating enough to reach their goals.

Let me share my ā€˜campfire’ analogy. Think of your metabolism as the campfire. We throw kindling (snacks) and logs (meals) on the fire to keep it burning (calories) hot. If we don’t feed the fire…the flames (metabolism) lower and eventually go out.

To burn fat, you need to build muscle. To build muscle you need protein and strength training.

So how much protein is ideal? Shoot for .7-1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight. Is this your face? 😯 If so, that’s the typical reaction I get. No worries…take baby steps. Be mindful about including protein in every snack and meal. You’ll get there.

Do you have questions about how to calculate your macros (protein, fat, carb) ? Comment MACROS below and Ill calculate your custom macros for you.
