CrossFit lesson of the day: Stimulus matters.

Today’s partner WOD had a 30-minute cap. My partner tackled it RX with a 14-lb wall ball and 35-lb dumbbell. At 59 years old, I chose an 8-lb wall ball and 30-lb dumbbell.

Why?

Because the goal wasn’t to prove I could lift a certain weight. The goal was to hit the intended stimulus of the workout: sustained effort, smart pacing, and consistent movement from start to finish.

In CrossFit, scaling isn’t about making a workout easier—it’s about making it appropriate for the athlete so they get the same training effect.

We finished within the cap and crossed the line right alongside some elite athletes.

The stimulus was the same. The weights were different. 💪🌱

Our LEGENDS crew is growing 💙💚

And we’ve got new hours starting this Thursday 👏

L.I.F.E. Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday — 9:30 a.m.
Thursday — 3:30–4:30 p.m.

We’re giving our members more flexibility with 4 class options each week while still keeping the program at 3 classes per week.

If you’ve been thinking about getting started, now’s the time. Bring a friend, come check it out, and see why this crew keeps growing.
