A special thank you to Cliff Gibbs for generously welcoming us to what is known as the French Farm, a property that was once part of Lowell Thomas's original estate.

Today, the land remains remarkably beautiful, but it also preserves a unique piece of Quaker Hill history. Hidden among the trees are the original ski trails Lowell Thomas carved into Strawberry Hill, along with the remnants of the rope tow that introduced generations of local children to skiing.

Standing on those trails, it's easy to imagine the laughter, determination, and community that once filled these hillsides.
