National State Team Championship

National State Team Championship The National State Team Championship is the Premier Mid-Amateur and Senior Golf Competition in the Country.

The INTLTEAMGOLF Championship is an international team golf event centered around Mid-Amateur / Senior State team and individual play. 32 Mid-Amateur and 48 Senior teams will compete in 2022 in one of the most significant WAGR points events in the world. Mid-Amateurs: 32 states send 4 players each to compete in a team and individual golf competition for Mid-Amateurs. Seniors: 3-man teams from 30 states along with international teams from Canada, England, Scotland and Ireland will compete in the senior division. Players compete in threesomes and foursomes designed to maximize playing opportunities with fellow top Mid-Amateurs and Seniors from other states. The 54 hole Mid-Amateur team competition takes the low 3 out of 4 scores each day, while the Senior team competition takes the low 2 out of 3 scores each day. The 54-hole individual competition played concurrently is awarded world amateur player of the year points (WAGR). Events include the Thursday Skins game, four-man competition, and the annual wives tribute dinner.

UTAH WINS! Defeats California by 1 shot, Arkansas by 2.

Keanu Akina from Utah wins individual National State Team Championship in three man playoff with Adam Miller of Wisconsin and Josh Goldstein of Nevada.

Maryland State Golf Association.

Maryland you ask? Where did they come from? They shot 8 under par to come from 9 shots back with nine holes to play to tie West Virginia. Ryan McCarthy birdied the last hole to fire a 70, Charlie Winegardener birdied the last hole for a back-nine 31 to shoot 66, and Brendan Kelly shot a bogey-free 65 to tie West Virginia. The tie-breaker went to the 4th player, and Billy Peel's 1 under 71 did the trick! An amazing performance under pressure!

MARYLAND

Congratulations on a stunning 15 under par final day performance. Led by Brendan Kelly - 65, Charlie Winegardener - 66 and Ryan McCarthy - 70. Billy Peel's 1 under 71 broke the tie with West Virginia.
