First off we would like to give a special thanks to the families, parents and coaches from both East and West Minico for coming together for the support and donations that makes this weeks tournament possible. With out your help and support this would not be possible for the kids and we thank u.This weekend Varsity results. Andre 4th. Joseph 3rd. Preston 2nd. Paxton 2nd. Garrett 1st. Koby 2nd. JV results. Brayland 4th. Alize 2nd. Romero 4th. Joseph 1st. Payton 4th. Alex 1st. Cooper 2nd. Josh 3rd. Page 1st. Evelyn 4th. Lesandra 2nd. Diana 3rd. Monique 1st. There has been a Schedule change. Tuesday we will be at the back gym at minico at 6:00pm .Tuesday we will have practice and then we will ride bus to minico so there will be no need to pick up kids after practice at West on tuesday. Saturday we will be at Canyon Ridge for Districts. Once again Thank u for the help and support.

First off our hearts and prayers go out to Lonnie Edwards our head official tonight. He had a pretty serious medical issue on the mat tonight and had to be transported to the hospital. Rick and i have always joked about scoring 100 team points at a dual, well tonight it happened. 102-0 West over Burley tonight. And then it was Wood Rivers turn 89-9 west. Reminder tommorow is parents meeting at 5:30 and our tournament on Saturday at Minico. Thanks to all the parents that drove 2 hours to watch there kids wrestle.

Couple things we need to go over. 1st last nights wrestling. 76-39 West over Robert Stuart. 75-27 over O`Leary. 2nd we as coaches are responsible for your children safety on the mat and off the mat. We are having a problem with kids leaving with out telling a coach. We do not want to leave any kids behind but its hard to know who is supposed to be on the bus if we dont know who has left. If this doesn't end it will be mandatory that all kids will ride the bus back to west. 3rd If a parent isn't happy or has a complaint about how your kid is being treated by a coach or not being coached properly then please call Rick at 670-4507 to get your concerns resolved. Yesterday we had about half of the kids did not show up to get on the bus. I know one kid was with his father out of state for the week and a couple were sick and we understand that but most of the other kids just didn't show up. We only have your kid for 6 short weeks its not much time and all our kids need as much mat time as possible so Monday is not going to be a fun practice for them. If u want to post pictures or video just tag Minico Jr. High Wrestling Team and it should pop up to tag u in it and have a good Thanksgiving we will see u Monday.

Another weekend in the books. Congrats to the varsity team for there 3rd place finish and to the Jv team for there 4th place finish. Varsity Placers, Cooper 2nd, Preston 3rd, Kyson 2nd,Paxton 2nd,Garrett 2nd, Koby 3rd. JV Placers, Cash 1st, Josh 1st, Luke 4th, Alize 4th, Romero 1st,Alex 1st, Joesph 1st,Cooper 4th. There will be a Mandatory Parents meeting on November 27th at west at 5:30. If u are not there Rick will call and assign u a task at our Tournament that we are hosting on December 1st. Wrestlers need to be at west on Monday by 2:30pm. We will be at Robert Stuart at 4:30pm Monday.There will be no practice the rest of the week. Wrestlers will have to make weight Monday 26th by the end of Practice, we go to Wood River on the 27th. Thank u to all the parents,family and friends that came to Canyon Ridge and Sat for 11 hours supporting the kids. Pictures from last nights show down with Declo,Gooding and O'Leary. And yes we beat all 3 of them. This Saterday we go to Canyon Ridge high school. Wrestlers need to be at West by 6:30am. All wrestlers will make weight by the end of practice tomorrow. THANK U

What a Saturday of Wrestling we had. We like to say congratulation to the JV kids that went undefeated this weekend. And on the varsity side congratulation to Joseph on his 2nd place finish. Paxton on his 4th place finish. Colby on his 4th place finish as well. Sometimes in this sport u get to witness something pretty cool and Saturday was that day. In order to get Trent in the tournament he had to wrestle up 2 weight classes giving up 20lb. And guess what the kid pinned all his kids all the way threw the finals. So congratulation to Trent on winning the 160lb class. Wednesday night we will be at west starting at 4:30. And thanks to all the parents and friends and family that came to support the kids.

Saturday we will be at the Irving tournament held at Pocatello High school. Wrestlers will need to be at west by 5:45am on Saturday. wrestlers will have to make weight Saturday morning so pack a breakfast to eat after weight-ins.
