Saturday night recap Wayne County Speedway

Was a rough one. We started the night with the make-up feature from last week, where I got caught up in a wreck on the first lap. I was able to keep going, but a few laps later the front wing came loose and ended our race early.

We thought our night might be over, but thanks to some generous people at the track who helped us out with parts, we were able to get the car back together in time for the heat.

Unfortunately, things took a literal turn for the worse on lap one. I’m okay, but the car didn’t come out of this one quite as lucky- the frame is damaged. With only a few races left, that brings our sprint car season to an early end.

Will update more as we continue to go over the car. Thanks for sticking with us!

Definitely a night of highs and lows Tri City Raceway Park

Started 5th in the heat and finished 3rd, then drew the #1 pill for the feature. Led 17 laps before a fuel injector issue forced us off. The crew got it fixed and we went back out 15th, made it back to 8th, and were ultimately scored 10th after a restart penalty.

Tough way to end the night, but that’s racing. Had a fast car and felt good running up front. We’ll get another shot at it.

Tonight we are headed to Wayne County Speedway!
