After two consecutive weeks of washouts, NJ Royals finally returned to action, although the rain followed us once again! The match against Windsor Cricket Club was reduced to 14 overs per side due to the weather and challenging outfield conditions.

After winning the toss, our captain elected to field first. Windsor started strongly, but our spinners brought us back into the contest with some important breakthroughs. Windsor eventually posted a competitive 120 runs in 14 overs.

In reply, Sayem Ahmed and Noyon Haque produced a brilliant opening partnership and took complete control of the chase. The pair put together a commanding 110 run partnership, setting up a comfortable victory for NJ Royals.

🔥 Noyon Haque: 40 off 28 balls
⭐ Sayem Ahmed: 76 off 40 balls
💥 9 massive sixes

A strong team performance in difficult conditions and a great way to return after two weeks without cricket.

We opened our BBCL T20 Fall 2026 campaign with a convincing 43 runs victory over NJ Knights.

Batting first, the Royals posted 153/9 in 18 overs, powered by a sensational 88 off just 40 balls from Ali Jinnah, including 11 sixes. Abu Tayeeb provided valuable support with 26 off 22.

Defending 154, our bowling attack kept the pressure on throughout and bowled NJ Knights out for 110 in 15.3 overs. Tanim Uddin led the attack with 3/15 from 3 overs, while Nihal Rahman (2/8) and Naymur Rahman (2/22) made important contributions.

So happy for these three. They’ve been there since the beginning and are a huge part of everything NJ Royals is today. True pillars of this team.

Another person we really missed was Habib Kais Chowdhury Ratul. Wish you were on the field celebrating this moment with us, brother.

A CAPTAIN IN A LEAGUE OF HIS OWN — Sayem Ahmed

Some players lead with words. Some lead with performances. Sayem Ahmed does both.

An outstanding NYBCL campaign saw our captain finish with 690 runs, including 53 sixes, 3 centuries, a highest score of 165, and an incredible average of 86.25. His dominance earned him Best Batter, Tournament MVP, and Most Sixes honors.

But his greatest achievement goes beyond individual awards.

As captain, Sayem has now led NJ Royals to our first ever BBCL championship and our first ever NYBCL championship, two historic titles that will forever be part of this team’s story.

Congratulations, Skip!! 👏
