Lama Pai Kung Fu, often called a Tibetan martial art, actually originates on the Western frontier and is a combination of many influences. The late Chan Tai-San, a decorated war hero who was named by China a "living legend" relocated to the United States and taught in New York for almost two decades…

Gus Kaparos of Green Cloud Kung Fu in Patchogue Long Island never learned a basic lesson in life. The more lies you tell, the harder it is to keep track of them and they WILL catch up to you...

Gus Kaparos on a public kung fu forum admitted in 2007 what his classmates already knew, the he joined Chan Tai San's gym in 1990 at the age of 24. Now he's back telling his lies about meeting him as a "young boy" or "early teens"

Gus Kaparos claims he trained in Chinatown. He never did. The fact he can't produce a single picture of Henry Street or the Duk Chan is pretty good proof. So is his absence from the Inside Kung Fu article from those years

Gus Kaparos tells all kinds of wild stories, including how he beat the owner of a school and took over his school. We have him saying it in a clip from the terrible SinoVision clip that no one ever bothered to fact check.

Gus Kaparos told a story about fighting off MULTIPLE OPPONENTS

I think once people review his actual fighting footage, they will see those lies for what they are.

There is a reason why of all of Chan Tai San's students, none of them associate with Gus Kaparos. He is a liar and a disrespectful person who recently got exactly what he had coming.

LIES: Gus claims he owned his own Kung Fu School before he met Chan tai San and that he was the first on Long Island to do so. Tells story of how he beat up a kid in school, (had to be before he was 17 so 1982 and prior according to when he met CTS) and a group of nerds asked him to train them. They started out of his basement and then they found a Tiger Martial Arts school in East Meadow where they took a class. Gus claims he fought the owner and won and that the next morning he showed up on his doorstep and handed him the keys to the school.

Gus was not the first Kung fu on LI – there were several other schools from late 70′s / early 80′s like Mike Manganello Siu Lum Academy, Jan Millers Dragon Tiger in Hewlett, the Hung Mei Pai school in Suffolk. Ling Nam Siu Lum Kung Fu Academy was established in 1984. It was the first kung fu school on Long Island that was to open to the public. Prior to that, only private instruction was available.

So Gus was 14 when Ling Nam Siu Lum opened, 10 when Dragon Tiger opened and 4 when Movements of Magic opened.

Hmmmmm…..

LIES: Gus claims he was part of a group called the “Chinatown Brats” whom trained under Chinese Masters in a Chinatown school where had become immersed in Chinese Culture and it’s mysticism.

Gus first met Chan Tai San in 1990, at the age of 24, and this was not in Chinatown, as the school he and many other local disciples trained at under Chan Tai San at the time was located at 440 Lafayette Street, in the East Village. Furthermore, Gus did not “immerse” himself in Chinese culture – in fact, he was the only senior American disciple of Chan Tai San who spoke no Chinese. Finally, there was no group of “Chinatown brats”, amongst Chan Tai San’s disciples: perhaps Gus is referring to another group of Americans, but it was not any of the senior Chan Tai San disciples.
