Father’s Day means something completely new and different this year. What a whirlwind of a last 5 days or so. From going to the hospital with my wife, to making game time decisions on the spot with her, to watching the amazing things she went through and is capable of, to the moment that I’ll never in my life forget, seeing my son for the first time.
People tell you all the time what it’s like the first time you see your child born. I can now attest to all those things, and more that you can never explain.
Richard Duke Szadok was born on Friday June 19th 8lbs 6oz, and all of the sudden life starts over and we have to learn EVERYTHING! Can’t wait to watch him go through life, and be there to go through it with him.
Now we’re finally home, and it all begins, no more medical professionals to guide us through days. We call the shots! 😳 Moments like these were so lucky to have the support system we do of family and friends. Three of us are exhausted, a little nervous, but ready to take on whatever life throws at us as a family of 3!
Richard Duke, your legacy comes from 2 of your great grandfathers that we know love you and are looking down from heaven at you and smiling. Your name will always remind us to think of them. Let us guide you to be like the great men that they were.
