Big school skills start with little steps! 📚
Preschool Readiness is a 6-week, play-based drop-off class designed to help children ages 2½–4½ build confidence and practice the routines, social skills, independence, and classroom experiences they’ll encounter in preschool.
Each 2.5-hour class gives children the opportunity to experience a mini preschool-style routine while still doing what little ones do best — learning through play!
Our class will include morning circle, hands-on learning activities, art and sensory exploration, movement throughout the Playnasium, snack time, center play, stories, songs, clean-up, and plenty of opportunities to practice transitions and classroom routines.
Along the way, children will also be exposed to early preschool concepts like books and literacy, counting, colors, shapes, matching, sorting, fine motor activities, art, music, and following simple directions.
At Better Together Playnasium, we know children learn, communicate, move, and participate in different ways. Preschool Readiness isn’t about expecting children to have certain skills mastered before school. It’s about giving them a safe, supportive place to practice, explore, build independence, and gain confidence at their own pace.
Children are encouraged to participate in ways that work for them, and our staff will provide appropriate support throughout the class.
