2026 07 28 Watkins Boys Soccer Coaches Clinic - Day 1
College coaches putting on the clinic, at Watkins tonight, included Kaleb Blevins for Mt Vernon Nazarene University, Josh Lubich from Muskingum University and Corey Kirk, Watkins Alum and Head Coach at Capital University. Corey played defense in high school and was part of the 2004 Watkins State Championship Team. It was a beautiful night for soccer. Players were broken up into 4 groups: goalies, freshmen, sophomores and juniors & seniors. Coaches and players concentrated on "defense" particularly PRESSING. Coaches showed them lots of ways to become better defenders, by pressing, using both drills and actual play. Hope to see everyone tomorrow night for Day 2 of the College Coaching Clinic.
