ICFFL Around the League: Championship Round

Dennis Zech is the champion, my friends. He kept on fighting til the end - and will have the Marriage Killer trophy to show for it.

And our final matchup wasn't really that dramatic. Zech's Ga***rd Focker defeated Jonathan Fraysure's El Alberto Minuletas by 45 points, 189.44-144.38. Focker was led by the stack of finals MVP Drake Maye and Stefon Diggs, combining for nearly 80 points, as well as Breece Hall's 47.9. Fraysure was let down by Jared Goff and Tet McMillan, and left quite a bit of points on his bench.

Zech takes his second ever title, and first since 2018. He's undefeated in the final round. Fraysure is runner-up for the third time in the last six years, and drops to 2-4 all-time in the championship.

The other notable (money-wise) result sees Matt Montavon take some extra cash with a 204.3-126.18 third-place win over Rich Clum - thanks Bijan Robinson!

And our other other notable (trophy-wise) result has Ronnie Friedrich successfully stay out of the cellar for the third time in as many tries, giving the Toilet Bowl instead to now-two-time-"winner" Justin Maddux, 149.8-92.18.

Thanks for a successful 2025, and we'll see you all again in August... And look in your inbox(es) in a week or so for updated league history, featuring Zech hoisting the title!

ICFFL Around the League: Semifinal Round

We're down to two, and it's not the two that bye'd their way to the semifinal round.

Our championship contest will be between No. 3 Jonathan Fraysure and No. 4 Dennis Zech. One overcame an early deficit, the other took a big initial lead and held on at the end.

Zech will make his second ever finals appearance after a 197.5-188.2 win over No. 1 Rich Clum. Zech held a 76-0 advantage after Thursday, but trailed heading into Sunday night by 25 points (141.6-116.0). His combo of Drake Maye and Stefon Diggs totaled nearly 80 in that matchup, and he survived Christian McCaffrey's 46.6 on Monday to win by nine.

Fraysure had less drama in his matchup, beating No. 2 Matt Montavon by 27, 178.56-151.18. Montavon held leads of 56.88 and 64.88 after Thursday and Saturday night, but Chris Olave and Jared Goff were the difference makers in Fraysure coming back as he heads into his sixth championship round.

The teams have met just one other time in the postseason, an 11-point first round win by Fraysure all the way back in 2016. Two years later, Zech won his only Marriage Killer trophy, in his only final round appearance - setting a record that has yet to be broken, for the most points in a championship matchup. Fraysure has two wins against three losses all-time, but he last hoisted the trophy was 2011 (and he's lost his last two attempts to win it for the third time, in 2020 and 2022).

Our last matchup is set - it'll be Ga***rd Focker taking on El Alberto Minuletas to determine the 2025 champs!

===

Our other other last matchup sees No. 7 Justin Maddux and No. 11 Ronnie Friedrich for the Toilet Bowl trophy. Ronnie has twice successfully staved off this "honor," in 2007 and 2011, having never taken it home. Maddux earned it once, in 2017, and the following year, defeated Clum in the final round to not be saddled with it in back-to-back years.

Updated lottery chances:
1. Roshon (4-10) - 38 or 39 chances, depending on if Quinn finds the one lost ball
2. Ronnie (5-9, 1776 points) - 29 chances
3. Mason (5-9, 1842 points) - 21 chances
4. Jett (5-9, 1954 points) - 20 chances
5. Williams (6-8) - 13 chances
6. Maddux (7-7, 1786 points) - 9 chances
7. Craig (7-7, 1899 points, lost in quarters) - 8 chances
8. Danison (7-7, 1961 points, lost in quarters) - 4 chances
9. Montavon (10-4, No. 2 division winner) - 3 chances
10. Clum (11-3, No. 1 division winner) - 2 chances
11. Runner-up - 1 chance
12. Champions - 1 chance

ICFFL Around the League: Quarterfinal Round

The Final Four are the top four... seeds, that is. The three division winners and the top Wild Card are our semifinalists, two of which will meet next week to battle for the Marriage Killer trophy. Advancing from the quarterfinal round are No. 3 Jonathan Fraysure and No. 4 Dennis Zech.

Fraysure used 72 points from TreVeyon Henderson, plus 65 key combined points in the late Sunday window from Jared Goff and Chris Olave to top No. 6 Craig Friedrich, 201.82-182.2. Craig will probably have words for Jaylen Waddle should he ever see him in person.

Zech's MVP was Amon-Ra St. Brown with 51.4 points, and he got another 52 in total from Drake Maye and Jaxon Smith-Njigba to overcome No. 5 Ryan Danison, 140.2-125.6. Like Craig, Danison is no longer a fan of Jaylen Warren (or too, Isaiah Likely).

So Zech moves on to face No. 1 Rich Clum for the third time this year. They split their two previous matchups, with Zech winning Week 1 (148.12-88.52) and Clum taking Week 4 (196.9-153.42). All-time, it's a 5-5 stalemate as far as regular season contests go, and this will be the first time the two have matched up in the postseason.

Fraysure will go up against No. 2 Matt Montavon, who won their only faceoff this year, in Week 9 (135.06-112.76). Montavon holds a healthy all-time lead in the regular season series, 16-8, and in the postseason, it's all knotted up at 1-1 (Montavon won in the semis in 2023; Fraysure won in the semis in 2011).

Clum or Zech, and Montavon or Fraysure - our finals matchup will be set in seven days' time!

Updated lottery chances:
1. Roshon (4-10) - 38 or 39 chances, depending on if Quinn finds the one lost ball
2. Ronnie (5-9, 1776 points) - 29 chances
3. Mason (5-9, 1842 points) - 21 chances
4. Jett (5-9, 1954 points) - 20 chances
5. Williams (6-8) - 13 chances
6. Maddux (7-7, 1786 points) - 9 chances
7. Craig (7-7, 1899 points, lost in quarters) - 8 chances

9. Semifinalist loser #1 - 3 chances
10. Semifinalist loser #2 - 2 chances
11. Runner-up - 1 chance
12. Champions - 1 chance

With those four open slots in this order of elimination:
Zech (9-5, 1st Wild Card)
Fraysure (8-4, No. 3 division winner)
Montavon (10-4, No. 2 division winner)
Clum (11-3, No. 1 division winner)

ICFFL Around the League: Week 14

The 2025 ICFFL postseason is set... Six teams for one trophy, six for another. Two got a bye, two others fought off a third for the final winner's bracket spot. And one stood above them all as the worst team in the league.

Clinch the all-important byes are top seed Rich Clum (11-3) and No. 2 Matt Montavon (10-4). Clum finished the year on a five-week win streak, defeating fellow division winner Jonathan Fraysure by 12.54 points, 121.3-108.76. Moreover, Clum won 10 of the final 11 weeks of the year after a 1-2 start.

Montavon goes out with momentum as well, earning the final Don Shula Coach of the Week award with a 166.14-128.32 win over Dusty Williams. He won his division by the most games - three - but ironically, Shower Buddies make up half of the playoff field.

Fraysure and Dennis Zech will "host" first round playoff matchups, though Zech not only took David Shula cOaCh of the Week honors, he posted the lowest score of the year in a 153.96-77.34 loss to Ryan Danison. And the two will meet again this week, with the winner moving on to face Clum.

Montavon will await the winner of Fraysure and Craig Friedrich, limping in on a three-game losing streak. In this year's Friedrich Bowl, Ronnie came out on top by 8.4 points, 144.62-136.22. Ronnie finishes the year winning his last two matchups, and as such, claws his way up out of the cellar.

Our final two final week matchups saw Justin Maddux defeat Scott Jett in our closest margin, by 7.46 points (138.24-130.78), while Brian Mason gave Jeremie Roshon the most balls in next year's hopper, winning by 28.6 points (131.74-103.14).

So Roshon finishes all by his lonesome at 4-10, one game worse than the trio of Jett, Mason and Ronnie. Williams is next, and Maddux is the hard-luck first team out. Despite being the direct opposite of Craig, winning his final three games, Maddux falls short in total points on the year. Danison (1961 points) and Craig (1899) are in, and he (1786) is out.

So to sum up:

Clum is No. 1, will face the winner of No. 4 Zech/No. 5 Danison
Montavon is No. 2, will face the winner of No. 3 Fraysure/No. 6 Craig

And half of the lottery order is set:

1. Roshon (4-10) - 38 or 39 chances, depending on if Quinn finds the one lost ball
2. Ronnie (5-9, 1776 points) - 29 chances
3. Mason (5-9, 1842 points) - 21 chances
4. Jett (5-9, 1954 points) - 20 chances
5. Williams (6-8) - 13 chances
6. Maddux (7-7, 1786 points) - 9 chances

And then in this order as they are eliminated, with the final two spots reserved for runner-up and champion:

Craig (7-7, 1899 points)
Danison (7-7, 1961 points)
Zech (9-5, 1st Wild Card)
Fraysure (8-4, No. 3 division winner)
Montavon (10-4, No. 2 division winner)
Clum (11-3, No. 1 division winner)

Good luck to all!

ICFFL Around the League: Week 13

In seven days, we'll have our six playoff teams. One more squad punched their ticket in Week 13, the fourth team in, while five others are vying for the last two spots.

Two of the matchups highlighted in last week's recap determined two division winners. The Shower Buddies Division has been won by Matt Montavon, after his 49.18-point win over Craig Friedrich (163.62-114.44). 7-6 Craig drops to two games behind 9-4 Montavon with one week to go. Worse, Craig's playoff odds drop from 96% to 84% (more on that at the end).

Also decided is the MFGA Division. In the week's closest margin, Jonathan Fraysure clinched a playoff berth by winning over Dusty Williams by 12.7 points (144.54-131.84). Like Craig, 6-7 Williams is two back of 8-5 Fraysure with one matchup left, but he also remains alive for a postseason slot.

Last but not least, Rich Clum has a magic number of one for both his division and the No. 1 overall seed. He won his fourth straight, a 162.54-93.96 win over David Shula cOaCh of the Week Jeremie Roshon (in also the biggest margin of the week, 68.58 points), to go to 10-3 on the year.

Clum now leads the Sa****um Division over Dennis Zech, who saw his five-game win streak snapped by Justin Maddux, 127.52-94.68. Clum is a game better than 9-4 Zech in the division, and one game better than Zech and Montavon for the league's top seed.

Our next-to-last Don Shula Coach of the Week is Ronnie Friedrich, whose 164.56 points was 65.46 better than Brian Mason's 99.1. Mason was one of two coaches mathematically eliminated this week, along with Roshon.

And our final result still sees both teams alive: Ryan Danison over Scott Jett by 27.5 points, 145.74-118.24. So reading between the lines, the four teams battling for No. 5 and No. 6 are as follows, with their ESPN odds:

7-6 Craig (84%)
6-7 Danison (71%)
6-7 Williams (20%)
6-7 Maddux (16%)
5-8 Jett (8%)

And our three eliminated teams will compete one last time for the best chance to have the most lottery balls next year. Ronnie, Roshon and Mason are all 4-9 - and Roshon and Mason face off against one another next week.

The other matchups are Clum vs. Fraysure, Zech vs. Danison, Montavon vs. Williams, Craig vs. Ronnie and Maddux vs. Jett - all with stakes to determine our 2025 Marriage Killer bracket!

Week 13 Individual Bests
Matt D’Orazio QB of the Week - Patrick Mahomes, 45.44 (Clum)
Note: The top QB, Jordan Love (49.76) is a free agent.
Beanie Wells RB of the Week - Kimani Vidal, 49.7 (Danison)
Cecil Shorts WR of the Week - A.J. Brown, 45.2 (R.Friedrich)
Jake Butt TE of the Week - Brock Bowers, 22.3 (Zech)
Note: Zach Ertz (30.6) was on Maddux's bench.
Portsmouth Spartans Defense of the Week - Seattle Seahawks, 39.0 (R.Friedrich)

ICFFL Around the League: Week 12

Two weeks to go, three teams are in, one team is out, and Week 12 was in no way close in any of our six matchups.

The six victors in our third-to-last week won by an average of 54 points. The "closest" was 34, and the team that fell in that contest actually clinched a playoff slot.

Let's start at the top. The Don Shula Coach of the Week is Dennis Zech, with 174.46 points. He beat Craig Friedrich (124.66) by just under 50, is in the playoffs, and has a league-best five-week winning streak. At 9-3, he is tied with Rich Clum atop the Sa****um Division.

Clum clinched with the week's biggest margin of victory, doubling (and eliminating) David Shula cOaCh of the Week Ronnie Friedrich, 162.98-81.28. Clum's 81.7-point win is the fourth highest this year, and he now has the second, third, fourth and fifth-biggest winning spreads of the season.

Our third team in is Matt Montavon, despite falling to Brian Mason by 34.24 points - our closest game of the week (167.06-132.82). Montavon is 8-4, one game better than 7-5 Craig Friedrich in the Shower Buddies Division. Craig, as mentioned, fell to Zech, snapping a three-week win streak.

Also separated by one game are Jonathan Fraysure and Dusty Williams in the MFGA Division. Fraysure lost to Justin Maddux by 54.48 (151.32-96.84), while Williams rode Jahmyr Gibbs' 92.4 points (the third highest individual week ever) to a 55.7-point win over Scott Jett, 170.92-115.22. Fraysure is 7-5 and Williams evens his record at 6-6.

While Ronnie is out, still hanging around is Jeremie Roshon, after his 48.6-point win over Ryan Danison, 168.36-119.76. Roshon and Mason, both 4-8, have a 1% chance of making the playoffs according to ESPN. Danison, Jett and Maddux are all 5-7, but have 23%, 18% and 8% odds, respectively.

Again, now at 100% are 9-3 Zech, 9-3 Clum and 8-4 Montavon. Craig is next at 96%, Fraysure is 95%, and Williams is 58%. But in our penultimate week, Fraysure faces Williams - and Craig faces Montavon. So a lot of drama is left to be had!

Week 12 Individual Bests
Matt D’Orazio QB of the Week - Jalen Hurts, 40.86 (Mason)
Note: Jameis Winston, a free agent, had 44.24 points, while Dak Prescott (43.06) was on Mason's bench.
Beanie Wells RB of the Week - Jahmyr Gibbs, 92.4 (Williams)
Cecil Shorts WR of the Week - Jaxon Smith-Njigba, 53.1 (Zech)
Jake Butt TE of the Week - Trey McBride, 16.9 (C.Friedrich)
Note: Hunter Henry (34.5) was on Montavon's bench.
Portsmouth Spartans Defense of the Week - Cleveland Browns, 27.0 (Clum)

ICFFL Around the League: Week 11

The return to intradivisional play in Week 11 pretty much went chalk as all the "favorites" added another win to their playoff résumé, with three weeks left to go before the postseason.

Five of the six wins came by an average of more than 57 points, and those five teams are the only ones above .500 (and all have at least a 94% chance of making the playoffs). Up to eight wins apiece are Don Shula Coach of the Week Rich Clum, Dennis Zech and Matt Montavon.

Clum also had the biggest margin of victory this week, topping Justin Maddux by 86.38 points, 194.04-107.66. It turns out it didn't matter that Maddux left Josh Allen's 69.68 points on his bench. Zech defeated Jeremie Roshon by 72.42 (165.64-93.22), keeping pace with Clum on top of the Sa****um Division, with both sitting at 8-3. They're four better than Maddux (4-7) and five ahead of Roshon (3-8).

Montavon, also at 8-3, continues to hold his one-game lead in the Shower Buddies Division as he beat Ryan Danison by 33.98 points, 133.12-99.14. That slim margin is between he and Craig Friedrich, winners of three straight to move to 7-4 after a 130.14-98.0 victory over Scott Jett. Jett and Danison drop to three behind Montavon and two behind Craig, and are in a dogfight for the final playoff slot at 5-6.

The other division leader is 7-4 Jonathan Fraysure, atop the MFGA Division by two games. He was 61.72 points better than David Shula cOaCh of the Week Ronnie Friedrich, 145.32-83.6. Behind him is 5-6 Dusty Williams, with the only slim victory this scoring period, sending Brian Mason to his fifth straight loss by 10.71 points (128.9-118.2). Mason and Ronnie, both 3-8, are four back in the division.

So it's Clum, Montavon and Zech at No. 1 and No. 2, with one of Clum/Zech No. 4 (they split head to head). Fraysure is No. 3, Craig is No. 5, and Danison, Jett and Williams all have 5-6 records and are battling for No. 6. Maddux is a game behind that trio, and the trio of Ronnie, Jett and Roshon sit two back at 3-8.

Week 11 Individual Bests
Matt D’Orazio QB of the Week - Brock Purdy, 29.3 (Williams)
Note: Like last week, Purdy was the fifth-highest QB score. Allen (69.68) on Maddux's bench, Bryce Young (59.82) is unowned, Jacoby Brissett (49.88) on Williams' bench, and Dak Prescott (40.32) on Mason's bench.
Beanie Wells RB of the Week - Bijan Robinson, 44.3 (Montavon)
Note: Sean Tucker (51.0 points) was on Fraysure's bench.
Cecil Shorts WR of the Week - Michael Wilson, 43.5 (Maddux)
Jake Butt TE of the Week - Trey McBride, 37.5 (C.Friedrich)
Portsmouth Spartans Defense of the Week - Pittsburgh Steelers, 28.0 (Zech)

ICFFL Around the League: Week 10

At the Week 10 turn, seven teams are at .500 or above, with sights set on the six-team playoff group.

Three of those six teams have won seven matchups, and have 95% or greater playoff odds. Matt Montavon completed a three-week gauntlet of tough foes, however, he fell to Dennis Zech, 122.1-116.64. That makes both of them 7-3. Also with that record is Rich Clum, a 174.98-116.8 winner over Ryan Danison. The former was the closest decision of the week; the latter the second-highest.

Clum holds a 99% playoff percentage, and Zech is at 98%. They are three games ahead of their nearest competitor in the Sa****um Division, Justin Maddux. He fell to Dusty Williams by 54.44 points, 180.88-126.44.

Montavon has a 95% playoff percentage and is atop the closest division: He's one game up on Craig Friedrich (82%) in the Shower Buddies race, with Craig taking a 19.92-point victory over Brian Mason, 147.44-127.52, and two ahead of the aforementioned Danison, as well as fellow 5-5 squad Scott Jett, who topped Ronnie Friedrich by 19.62 points, 140.4-120.78.

And that's all the results of this week.

Oh wait.

There's one more.

Don Shula Coach of the Week Jonathan Fraysure topped David Shula cOaCh of the Week Jeremie Roshon, 301.32-91.7. That result for the Minuletas:

• Is the highest week in ICFFL history, 26.38 more than the previous high (Montavon, Week 5 in 2019, when he had 274.94 points. In third? The legendary Justin Riley, with 272.08 on Week 7 of 2015).
• Is the highest week this year by 73.84 points (Clum in Week 6 with 227.48).
• Is the highest margin of victory all-time, at 209.62 points.
• Featured the 11th-highest individual week of all-time, Jonathan Taylor's 85.6.
• Also featured the second-highest individual week this season behind Taylor, TreVeyon Henderson's 70 points, along with this week's best WR and defense.

So a decent showing for the now-6-4 Fraysure, with a 94% percentage and a two-game lead over the 4-6 Williams. Fraysure currently would be the three seed, behind Clum, Zech and Montavon, who are No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 in some order. Craig sits at No. 5 alone, and Jett and Danison are tied for the final slot.

Week 10 Individual Bests
Matt D’Orazio QB of the Week - Davis Mills, 38.68 (Williams)
Note: Mills was QB #5 this week. Mac Jones (45.06) was unowned, Jared Goff (43. 8) was on Fraysure's bench, Matthew Stafford (42.9) was on Montavon's bench, and Tyler Shough (38.98) is unowned.
Beanie Wells RB of the Week - Jonathan Taylor, 85.6 (Fraysure)
Cecil Shorts WR of the Week - Chris Olave, 37.4 (Fraysure)
Jake Butt TE of the Week - Trey McBride, 37.7 (C.Friedrich)
Portsmouth Spartans Defense of the Week - New York Jets, 36.0 (Fraysure)

ICFFL Around the League: Week 9

We're nearing the 2/3rds mark of the season, and while the playoff slots are slowly coming into focus, all teams are still alive. And in Week 9, one division saw all teams lose, and the other two had three of the four teams win.

For the second straight week, we saw two division leaders match up. This time, Matt Montavon gets the better of his opponent, defeating Jonathan Fraysure by 22.3 points, 135.06-112.76. Lucky for Montavon, as the two teams behind him each also won (luckier for Fraysure, his division was 0-4...more on that momentarily).

One of those behind Montavon was Craig Friedrich, getting 16.5 points Monday from Trey McBride for a comeback win over Rich Clum. Clum's five-game win streak ends with a 4.8-point loss, 147.5-142.7. With an even closer victory was Ryan Danison; he used 17.3 points on Monday to overcome Dusty Williams by 4.68, 125.2-120.52. So both Craig and Danison (each 5-4) remain two games behind Montavon, a league-best 7-2, in the Shower Buddies Division.

Clum falls back into a first-place tie with Dennis Zech in the Sa****um Division, as Zech posted a 43.16-point win over Ronnie Friedrich, 162.96-119.8. Each are 6-3. Two games behind them is 4-5 Justin Maddux, an even 10-point winner over Brian Mason (147.52-137.52). And three back is 3-6 Jeremie Roshon, snapping a four-game losing streak and taking Don Shula Coach of the Week honors over David Shula cOaCh of the Week Scott Jett, 166.26-107.62. Obviously, that was our biggest margin this week as well - 58.64 points.

Reading all of those scores, you can find all four MFGA losses. That's two in a row for Fraysure, as he drops to 5-4. He still holds a two-game lead over all of the rest of the division, with Ronnie, Mason and Williams all at 3-6. Mason and Williams each suffered their third straight loss to fall three under .500.

Right now, Montavon is the No. 1 seed, and Clum and Zech are tied for No. 2 (and they split their H2H matchups). Fraysure is No. 3 as the other division leader, the other of Clum and Zech would be No. 4, and Craig and Danison currently hold the last two slots. Jett and Maddux are a game behind them, while Ronnie, Mason, Roshon and Williams are two games out.

ICFFL Around the League: Week 8

Week 8 gave us some of our lowest scores of the year, with no close results across the board.

Byemaggedon did not affect Scott Jett in the least - in fact, the Don Shula Coach of the Week posted the second-highest score of the year. His 215.08 points was the highest margin of victory this week as well, defeating Jonathan Fraysure's 138.08 by 77 points.

Also with a wide discrepancy was a matchup of division leaders and top win streaks. Rich Clum extended his to five straight, and snapped Matt Montavon's five in a row with a 52.14-point win (142.86-96.12). So with Montavon and Fraysure falling, two atop their division saw their leads shrink.

Montavon is 6-2, tied with Clum for the league's best record. Montavon is two games ahead in the Shower Buddies Division, with all three teams behind him at 4-4. Jett is one, Ryan Danison (who defeated Brian Mason, 135.38-100.76) is another, and Craig Friedrich is the third. Craig was a victim Monday Night of Justin Maddux's comeback win, falling 157.82-145.72.

Fraysure is 5-3, and is two games up in the MFGA Division, also ahead of three teams. All at 3-5 are Ronnie Friedrich, winners of two of three after a 157.6-141.58 victory over Jeremie Roshon; as well as Brian Mason and Dusty Williams, who each fell in Week 8. Mason lost to Danison as previously said, and Williams was our David Shula cOaCh of the Week with a 111.04-87.3 loss to Dennis Zech.

Finally, in the Sa****um Division, Zech breaks a two-game slide to improve to 5-3 and stay a game behind Clum. Maddux is 3-5 and three games back; Roshon is our only 2-6 team, and is four back of Clum.

Zech is also our top Wild Card, sitting as the four seed currently. Jett, Danison and Craig are fifth-sixth-seventh in some order (two of the three would make it), and Ronnie, Mason, Williams and Maddux are all a game behind them, tied for eighth. That leaves Roshon in 12th all by his lonesome.

Week 8 Individual Bests
Matt D’Orazio QB of the Week - C.J. Stroud, 41.72 (C.Friedrich)
Note: The top two QBs were Jordan Love (47.3), on Danison's bench, and Tua, with 42.2, is unowned
Beanie Wells RB of the Week - James Cook, 65.6 (Jett)
Note: Jett also had RB #3 - Saquon Barkley's 60.4 points
Cecil Shorts WR of the Week - Rome Odunze, 28.4 (R.Friedrich)
Jake Butt TE of the Week - Tucker Kraft, 43.3 (R.Friedrich)
Portsmouth Spartans Defense of the Week - Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 32.0 (Danison)

ICFFL Around the League: Week 7

We're up and over the midway point of the year, and Week 7 saw all six matchups won by double digits.

None were truly nailbiters, in fact, you could say the closest race was for Don Shula Coach of the Week honors - three teams within nine points of one another.

Taking it was Ryan Danison with 185.4 points, just a smidge better than Rich Clum. Danison won over Justin Maddux's 139.62 by 45.78 points. Clum was right behind him with 184.36, narrowly missing out on his third weekly win of this award. He defeated Dusty Williams (161.24) by 23.12 points.

Rounding out the trio was Jonathan Fraysure with 176.52 points, sending Dennis Zech (146.58) to his third straight loss - and to second place in the Sa****um Division behind Clum. Clum is 5-2 and has won four straight, putting him a game ahead of 4-3 Zech.

Our other three winners all come out of the Shower Buddies Division. Matt Montavon posted his fifth straight win, 19.5 points better than Ronnie Friedrich (158.28-138.78). Craig Friedrich had the week's biggest margin of victory, beating David Shula cOaCh of the Week Jeremie Roshon by 59.52 points (160.16-100.64). And the closest win of the week saw Scott Jett utilize the Houston defense to mount a Monday Night comeback, defeating Brian Mason by 12.12 points (147.16-135.04).

So that race sees 6-1 Montavon up by two over Craig (4-3), and in the MFGA, Fraysure is 5-2, two games ahead of Mason and Williams, both at 3-4.

Because it's never too early to look, beyond the three division leaders, Zech and Craig are the top two Wild Cards at 4-3, while Danison, Jett, Mason and Williams are a game back at 3-4. And Ronnie, Maddux and Roshon are just a game behind them at 2-5.

Week 7 Individual Bests
Matt D’Orazio QB of the Week - Justin Herbert, 53.9 (Danison)
Beanie Wells RB of the Week - Jahmyr Gibbs, 63.8 (Williams)
Cecil Shorts WR of the Week - Devonta Smith, 49.3 (Maddux)
Jake Butt TE of the Week - Trey McBride, 29.4 (C.Friedrich)
Note: The top two tight ends are unowned: Pat Freiermuth (44.1) and Oronde Gadsden (39.4)
Portsmouth Spartans Defense of the Week - Cleveland Browns, 37.0 (Clum)

ICFFL Around the League: Week 6

Week 6 saw our most dominant win of the year, which has caused a division tie as we near the halfway mark of the 2025 campaign.

Rich Clum posted our top score of the year, and biggest margin of victory as well. His 227.48 points earns him Don Shula Coach of the Week, is the most anyone has tallied since Week 5 of last year, is more than 30 points better than his Week 4 output (the previous team high this year), and was 123.32 points better than Scott Jett's 104.16, our biggest spread this year by over 40 (and most since Week 2 last season).

All that puts Clum at 4-2, tying him atop the Sa****um Divison with tough-luck loser Dennis Zech. Zech fell by just 1.18 points to Brian Mason (133.02-131.84), getting just a combined 4.1 points on Monday Night from two Bills. That slim win is the closest in the league since Week 1 of 2023.

Not disappointed on MNF was Matt Montavon, behind 62.8 points from Bijan Robinson. He improves to a league-best 5-1 record, topping David Shula cOaCh of the Week Justin Maddux by 33 points, 126.54-93.5. He's up two games in the Shower Buddies Division on 3-3 Craig Friedrich. Craig edged out Jonathan Fraysure by just 5.18 points, 168.42-163.24. Friedrich has won two straight, by 5.32 and 5.18 points, respectively.

Fraysure, at 4-2, sees his lead in the MFGA Division drop to a game over the 3-3 pair of Mason and Dusty Williams. Unlike Mason, Williams had a wide-margin victory, by 53.04 points over Jeremie Roshon (152.74-99.7). Fraysure was the only team to fall in his division this week; Ronnie Friedrich snapped a four-game skid with a 9-point win over Ryan Danison, 113.88-104.86.

Ronnie improves to 2-4, one of five teams at that mark (Danison, Jett, Maddux and Roshon being the others). Three teams are at an even .500 - Craig, Mason and Williams. And after this week, we'll be half-finished with our regular season!

Week 6 Individual Bests
Matt D’Orazio QB of the Week - Drake Maye, 49.24 (Zech)
Beanie Wells RB of the Week - Bijan Robinson, 62.8 (Montavon)
Cecil Shorts WR of the Week - Jaxon Smith-Njigba, 46.2 (Zech)
Jake Butt TE of the Week - Dallas Goedert, 36.0 (Clum)
Portsmouth Spartans Defense of the Week - Los Angeles Rams, 28.0 (Roshon)
