This site is administrated by the League President and Vice President. We are a non-profit organization and have been in existence since 1948. The girls softball league was started in 1996. Our league continues to hold a strong and growing foundation. We have a great group of volunteer coaches that have successfully nurtured and developed our inner city youth. Our league consists of 7 teams and 2

divisions - American and National. The age group is for girls between 9-12 years old. Each team plays 10 games in the season. The top 4 teams advance to the playoffs. Playoff is a 1 game elimination and the Championship games are the best 2 out of 3. Tryouts take place yearly in March and limited to players who only reside in the City of Passaic. However, if you are interested in coaching a team in our city, you DO NOT have to live in Passaic. Your child may play as well. Tryouts for our 12U traveling team will be posted sometime in May. We are allowed to draft 2 outter city players as long as the city they live in does not participate in the UGALS organization. We are always in need of league sponsors/donations/volunteers. SOFTBALL COACHING CLINICS
Starting Saturday October 11th, 2014 the Deich-Brady Girls Softball League will be sponsoring a bi-weekly* instructional softball coaching clinic for all persons 18 years or older who are interest in coaching a youth softball team either for their child, relative or simply to be a mentor in our community. The programs are free and will be taught by trained coaches. If you plan on attending you must register in advance by emailing your confirmation to [email protected]. Class will begin at 10AM sharp and run until 12PM. Space is limited so registration is mandatory. All parents/guardians of players are also encouraged to participate to learn the techniques in order to help further the performance of their child.
Classes will include fundamental softball techniques like:
Coaches responsibility
Coach and player conduct
Game rules
Book Keeping
Terminology ( Language of the game)
Essentials of the game (Batting, Throwing, Fielding )
And much more……
