Just a few weeks ago, our 23-year-old nephew, Kyle “Lil Kyle” Fayard Jr., was living a normal life, working hard, spending time with family, and making plans for the future.

Then, without warning, he became critically ill. He is now facing kidney failure, ongoing dialysis, and a long road to recovery.

To help ease the financial burden and loss of income while hospitalized, we’re raffling off a 4-hour inshore fishing charter for 4 anglers.

PSA: Don’t be this guy! Saw a wade fisherman getting way too close to us yesterday afternoon. I made the comment that he was going to walk right over our baits where we were fishing. He responded with “Well I don’t see y’all catching anything.” He then proceeded to walk right through our fish. After a brief exchange of words I could tell that his actions were willfully ignorant. He just had no respect or care that he was messing up our bite. He had “Drove 3 hours to be here.” My clients from Tennessee chuckled at that one!

As a general rule of thumb, most seasoned fishermen will never get close enough to cast where you’re casting. You should never run the risk of being able cast over the top of each other’s baits. This is considered to be the absolute minimum distance between two anglers. So if I can cast over your head you are way too close to me. Give people as much space as you can on the water.

All that being said I had 2 great trips yesterday in some very windy conditions! We still have several weekend days available this summer to fish!
