This Trek Domane SL 5 Gen 4 came in with a snapped rear shift cable hidden inside the Shimano 105 shifter.

A broken cable like this means there’s no tension on the derailleur, leaving the bike stuck in one gear and unable to shift properly.

For this service, I performed:
✔️ Removed the broken cable from the shifter
✔️ Installed a new Shimano shift cable
✔️ Adjusted and indexed the drivetrain
✔️ Completed a full MW Silver Service
✔️ Deep bike wash and drivetrain cleaning
✔️ Safety inspection and final test ride

Regular maintenance doesn’t just keep your bike looking great, it helps catch problems early and keeps every ride smooth and reliable.

Swipe to see the before & after and a few shots from the repair process 👨‍🔧

Thanks Emilio Monterrubio for trusting Muddy Wheels with your beautiful Domane!
She’s clean, dialed, and officially out of single-speed mode 😂🧡

Another great morning supporting the cycling community! 🚴‍♂️🔧

Muddy Wheels had the pleasure of supporting a group ride led by Rahsaan Bahati - former professional cyclist, multiple time U.S. National Champion, and founder of the Bahati Foundation Bahati Foundation.

The morning started at the meetup point, providing mechanical support and making sure riders were ready to roll.
Once the ride got moving, I followed the group as the support vehicle, helping keep everyone safe and providing mechanical assistance and repairs along the way whenever needed.

It was a pleasure supporting the riders, keeping the group rolling, and being part of such a great day on two wheels.

Great people, great energy, and a strong cycling community.
Thank you for having Muddy Wheels along for the ride! ✌️🧡

What an incredible experience supporting the Curebound Ride this weekend! 🚴🔧

I started the morning in the mechanic booth helping riders get ready before the start, then spent the rest of the day on the SAG vehicles providing on-course mechanical support and getting riders back on the road whenever possible.

What made this event even more special was the mission behind it.
The ride raises funds to support groundbreaking cancer research, making every mile ridden part of a much bigger cause.
It was an honor to contribute, even in a small way, to such a meaningful event.

A huge thank you to Mike Wilson for putting together such a professional support team and welcoming me to work alongside them.
Everyone was incredibly friendly, the energy all day was amazing, and I truly enjoyed being part of it.

Looking forward to the next event! 🤘

His qualifications include:
- Constant shop supervision
- Quality-control sniff tests
- Keeping tools warm
- Demanding payment in treats
- In charge of the nap and sunbathing schedule so we get enough rest and vitamin D

He may not know how to adjust a derailleur, but he’s very confident that he’s in charge around here 🚲🐾

Your rear shock is responsible for traction, control, and efficiency on the trail.

Over time the internal oil breaks down, seals wear, and small contaminants enter the system.
When that happens the shock becomes less responsive and the bike loses support and grip.

Regular shock service helps maintain:
• consistent damping
• better traction
• predictable suspension performance

Proper maintenance keeps the bike riding the way it was designed to.

Stay tuned for the next reel to see the full rear shock service process.

CABDA Expo day ✌🏼

We casually strolled by all booths to learn about some new brands (new to us) and came across some interesting guys!!
We also reunited with Perry and Mark from BTI, and they were worth the wait!
We’re excited to open and use all the goodies we were generously gifted from various brands!
