Great job last night Bruins! After an 8 year absence, Boys bring home the Bruin Invite Trophy! Congratulations to Hannah and Chanele earning Athletes of the meet! Always hard to see our Seniors compete for the last time at home!

Seaside Three Course Challenge is in the books. Great showing Bruins!! 11 Individual medals! Girls team- 2nd in our Division! Boys- 1st in our Division!! I was staged at the mud pit, so most of the photos are of the team splashing through!

Boys Varsity takes 2nd place at 58th Annual Steve Mass Run-a-Ree & Girls Varsity takes 4th! Even better news was the fact that we fielded both a boys and girls JV team (3rd & 5th place)! We also ran a 9th/10th grade boys team. For a 1A school running against 3A & 4A schools, this is a big achievement.

Join us for Cross County send off at 8:20 at the high school. We leave for state at 8:30.

Running your best 5k is a tough mental and physical challenge, but it's one you all are ready for. No need to overthink anything. Just go out and race. Yes race! Beat as many people as you can. Respond when challenged because every place counts! When your inner voice starts simpering weak thoughts, back it off with commands of endurance and strength. If you don't think you can run faster or beat person x,y, or z.... you're wrong. You can. You will.

You just ran 4200 meters at race pace, pushing yourself to new horizons of excellence. Now 800 meters is left. The short uphill, it levels off and then a long gradual downhill to the finish. Now pay attention! If you think you're too tired to beat that pack of runners around you... you're wrong. They are also tired! Now it's about guts. Let your legs fly on that downhill! Push all the way through the line! Do this and you walk away proud of your effort.
