Huge weekend for our team at the Los Angeles Open and West Coast Trials.
Our youth trials athletes Lincoln Cooper, Yenuen Cardenas, Eden Wentworth, Nolan Warnaca, and Raven Vivero stepped up on one of the toughest stages in the world and delivered. Three of them fought all the way to the semifinals at Youth West Coast Trials, earning top four in North America. That’s a serious statement.
Chloe Cooper, already qualified for the ADCC Youth World Championships this August, chose to test herself in the adult intermediate division at just 13 years old and came away with a second place finish. That says everything about who she is and where she’s headed.
On the adult side, Liberty Wentworth competed in the Open and brought home double silver, showing massive growth and proving she’s just getting started. Sebastian Garcia had two tough matches and is continuing his upward trajectory. Jacob Lanphear and Professor Wes stepped into the West Coast Trials, taking on one of the hardest brackets in the sport and embracing the challenge at the highest level.
Nothing but respect to everyone who stepped out there. This is not an easy arena and every single athlete showed skill, courage, and composure under pressure.
