Tight” isn’t always asking for more stretching.

It’s asking for a change of scenery.

If your day is mostly spent sitting, driving, working at a screen or repeating the same movements, your body spends most of its time in the same handful of positions.

Fascia responds to what you give it. Same input, same tissue. Change the input, and things move differently.

That’s exactly why I’d rather give a tight body something new to do than keep pulling on the same spot.

Pilates is boring?

Only if you’re doing the same workout on repeat.

The beauty of Pilates is that the system gives you a foundation, not a script. Change the equipment, add a prop, shift the pace, play with the sequence and suddenly the same body is moving in a completely different conversation.

That’s what keeps Pilates interesting to me.

Notice who you become around the right people. More open. More you.
That’s not a coincidence — that’s regulation.

Dogs have always been part of my life, which means plenty of dog walks… or adventures, as I like to call them.

Some dogs go with the flow. Others like to take a little break, especially when there’s a poodle or golden in the mix (stubborn trait). 😆

So, when the walk comes to a brief stop, I might as well get in a few supersets in for glutes and legs.

Or maybe they’re secretly trying to tell me something. 😳🐾

Desk jockeys: your low back isn’t necessarily tight.

It’s just been in the same position for too long.

One band. Three directions. Let the arms join in.

The resistance deepens the stretch while the movement gets your spine moving.

I love an evening that gives you a little bit of everything.

Beautiful spaces. Good food. A summer night. Music that makes you want to move. And the joy of seeing different cultures come together through dance.

Nights like that stay with you.

Yesterday, the focus was single-leg stability.

Today, we added rotation.

That one progression changes the entire conversation.

Now the glutes aren’t just creating force—they’re stabilizing the pelvis while the obliques generate controlled rotation through the torso. Every repetition asks the body to organize strength, balance, coordination, and timing at the same time.

That’s what I love about Pilates. A subtle change in the movement can completely change what your body has to solve.

Most people know the Pilates teacher side of me.

What they don’t expect?

I can happily spend hours talking about New York City history, the people who shaped it, and the stories hidden behind one of the most iconic cities in the world.

It’s probably not the first thing you’d guess about me, but I’ve always been drawn to the stories behind the places we love.

Because there’s always more to someone than what they do.

One thing Pilates has taught me over the years is that your body is always listening to your environment. The way you sit, the way you move, the way you work, and the habits you repeat every single day all leave an imprint.

For many of us, our workspace is where we spend a huge part of our day.

Between teaching clients, creating content, and working from cafés, airports, home, and while traveling, I’ve realized my workspace needs to support my body just as much as my workouts do.

That’s what drew me to Meine Studios

We share the same belief: small, thoughtful changes create a better relationship with your body. Their ergonomic laptop setup supports better posture and comfort, making it a natural extension of the work I already do through Pilates, movement, and everyday wellness.

Then I noticed something that made the collaboration feel even more fitting.

The name Meine immediately caught my attention because of the connection to my own name. Add in my German roots and the fact that it’s a women-owned business, and it felt like one of those unexpected details that made this partnership even more meaningful.

Now the Meine Studio Ergo Sleeve is one of those things I reach for without thinking. It makes working from anywhere feel more supportive—for my posture, my shoulders, and my energy—without sacrificing beautiful design.

Because wellness isn’t something that only happens during your workout.

It’s in the way you set up your day.
The way you care for your body between appointments.
The small choices you repeat that shape how you move, feel, and age.

Your environment shapes you, too.

If you’re ready to create a workspace that works with your body instead of against it, you can use my code FRIEND-FGDZ969.

I’d love to know—where does your workday usually happen? Home office, coffee shop, or somewhere in between?
