๐Daily Anniversary Giveaway ๐
Today, Iโm taking a moment to celebrate how far Iโve grown as both a coach and a small business.
Motivate Me Fitness wouldn't be here, or be what it is, without all of your love and support throughout the years. You guys have been with me through so much.
I started Motivate Me Fitness back in September 2016 with only one group training class a week that had maybe one or two people per class.
We worked out in my yard or driveway while it was still warm out. When winter came, we moved inside and worked out in what was my living room/playroom. It was a small space, but we made it work. By then, we had about five people per classโbecause, well, that's all we could fit in the space!
As the years passed and my classes grew, we took advantage of any nice day and worked out in the driveway. Even though the space was bigger, it had its own challenges. IYKYK.
In 2020, my family decided to move to a bigger home that could support my growing business and give me my own dedicated gym studio space. I was so excited and couldn't wait to open this space and continue growing and working with even more amazing people.
That's when the world shut down...We literally moved into our new home during the first "two weeks" of the pandemic.
Having that unplanned "down time," we took advantage of the opportunity to finish the gym studio and prepare our new space.
As the pandemic continued, it brought challenging mandates that had to be complied with in order to keep my business running. During this time, I hosted free/donation-based Facebook Live workouts. Then, we moved to regularly scheduled Zoom workouts to try to maintain some kind of routine and schedule.
In July 2020, we were finally able to open, BUT we had to wear masks during all gym sessions. This was ZERO fun. But again, you guys persevered and stayed dedicated. You stuck with it even when you had to literally wring your masks out in the driveway after class.
The gym mask mandate was finally lifted in May of 2021, and we all couldn't be happier. FINALLY, the workouts could start to feel normal again.
Since then, we've added classes, expanded my class times, and grown our class sizes. We've added a lot of new equipment and continue to support each other every week.
10 years ago, I never would have thought that Motivate Me Fitness would be what it is today. I've learned so much as a coach. I've met so many funny, caring, devoted, and inspiring people. I absolutely love my job and honestly would love to celebrate a 50th anniversary one day!
