Sometimes when you reflect on your areas of growth, you realize you could have never made it to where you are without the people who helped you along the way.

Today, I want Genesis to know just how special she is to me and to The Stage Dance Studio.

I’m so proud to officially introduce Genesis as a record-breaker at The Stage: our first competitive dancer to ever compete in the senior division with dancers ages 15-18! How did we lose track of time? 🤍

Genesis, I hope you know how proud you make me every single day. You no longer walk into this studio simply as a dancer coming to learn. You walk through these doors ready to share your passion, serve others, and help me pour into the next generation.

God has gifted you with something so much bigger than dance. He has given you the heart of a leader.

From watching you grow up in this studio to now watching you help lead within it, I can’t help but wonder where the time went.

Genesis comes with a pretty special story. ❤️

She was once a dancer right here at The Stage Dance Studio and competed with us for several years before her family moved away from the studio.

Recently, Genesis reached out to Mrs.Zee because she was looking for her first job opportunity. While we weren’t necessarily looking to add another person to our team, we wanted to give her the opportunity to come in, learn, help, and see where it could lead.

And from her very first day, she went above and beyond every expectation.

At only 17 years old, Genesis already carries so many qualities of a strong leader — initiative, kindness, responsibility, and most importantly, a heart to serve others. We knew we wanted to find a place for her here. ❤️

Genesis, God placed you here for a reason, and we are so excited to watch you grow while you help us serve the next generation of dancers.

After 8 amazing years, we are SO excited to bring something brand new to The Stage Dance Studio — our FIRST-EVER WINTER SHOW EXPERIENCE this December! 🎄🩰✨

Our dancers will now have TWO opportunities each season to experience the magic of performing on stage, building confidence, creating memories, and sharing everything they’ve been working so hard on! ❤️

✨ IT’S TIME TO POUR INTO OTHERS. ✨

As I’ve reflected on my own journey, there’s one thing I wish I would have understood at a younger age: having the right mentor could have changed so much for me. Having someone pour into me, challenge me, guide me, and help me see my potential could have given me a head start on so many of the lessons I had to learn on my own.

And now I realize — maybe God allowed me to learn those lessons so that one day I could pour them into someone else. ❤️

Through the years, God has blessed me with experiences, opportunities, successes, failures, lessons, and knowledge that have shaped the woman and business owner I am today.

Now, I’m ready to share that with the next generation.

I’m looking for FIVE middle school and high school girls who are hungry to grow and ready to make a change in their lives.

This mentorship is especially for young dancers who may dream of owning a dance studio one day, becoming an entrepreneur, or starting a business of their own. But this is about so much more than business.

Over four weeks, we’ll talk about confidence, consistency, navigating change, leadership, entrepreneurship, personal growth, and most importantly, keeping God at the center of it all. 🙏🏼

I believe that when God gives us knowledge and experience, we have a responsibility to turn around and pour it into others.

For that reason, my very first mentorship program will be completely complimentary for FIVE girls.

If you believe your daughter is ready to grow, be challenged, and invest in the person she is becoming, I would love to hear from you. ❤️

We’d like to wish our studio owner and director, Mrs. Zee, nothing but success this week as she spends time in Orlando attending the Maxwell Leadership Conference with John Maxwell! 💫

Mrs.Zee has always been passionate about helping others grow, and this week she’s taking her own personal growth and leadership to the next level.

She believes that when you pour into others and help them become the best version of themselves, you grow right alongside them. ❤️

Every day is a reminder that we all have the potential to make an impact—not only within our studio walls, but throughout our entire community.

✨ MEET THE OWNER AND DIRECTOR — MS. ZEE✨

You may have seen her running around the front desk, behind the scenes, inside the classroom, or all over the place during competition and performance weekends — Ms. Z does it all! 🤍

Ms. Z is the proud owner and Studio Director of The Stage Dance Studio, now going into YEAR 8! 🎉

Inside the studio, you’ll find her teaching mostly our preschool and acrobatic classes, while also leading our Competition Team and Performance Team.

But for Ms. Z, The Stage has always been about so much more than dance.

My mission is simple: I want to create more than great dancers. I want to help raise confident, kind human beings who know how to lead.

My intention is to provide quality dance education while creating an environment where every child walks through our doors learning to believe in themselves. We want our dancers to approach challenges with an “I CAN DO IT” mentality instead of “I’ll try.”

Dance is what brings them through our doors, but confidence, leadership, discipline, and character are what I hope they carry with them when they leave. ❤️

SOLO CHOREOGRAPHY OPPORTUNITY — CLARIFICATION ✨

We wanted to clarify our recent Solo Choreography flyer, as we’ve received a few questions!

This opportunity is specifically for middle school and high school dancers who need solo choreography for their school dance team contest season.

We have also received a few inquiries about competing with The Stage Dance Studio Competition Team as a soloist. While competing as a soloist with our company can be an option, dancers must first go through our company process. We recommend looking into our program in advance, as Competition Team auditions are held during the spring season for the upcoming year.

If your dancer is preparing for middle school or high school dance team contest season and needs a custom solo, this opportunity is for you! 💫

Styles available include Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz & Acro, and we accommodate dancers of all experience levels.

Want to take the stage and compete with your very own solo? 💜 We are now accepting solo requests for Middle School & High School dancers for the upcoming contest season!

🌟 All experience levels are welcome — from dancers with no experience to advanced dancers. We’ll work with each dancer at their individual level to create a routine that allows them to feel confident and shine on stage!
