And most importantly, stay mentally committed.

You just have to make better decisions.

Age may change your game, but it doesn’t have to weaken it.

Dear Baseball,

Thank you for all the tears and joy, the defeats and victories, the pain and comfort—for the unforgettable journey that molded me into the coach I am today. I will be forever grateful to you.

You gave me far more than a game. You gave me purpose. You took me under your wing and carried me across the world—from Europe to Asia, and everywhere in between.

Along the way, you introduced me to hundreds of aspiring athletes from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. Though our stories were unique, we all shared one dream: to become professional athletes.

Ironically, we were all fighting the same battle. We competed for the same opportunities, chased the same dreams, and often stood in each other’s way. Yet somehow, we also became each other’s biggest supporters—true “frenemies.” We pushed one another, learned from one another, celebrated each other’s successes, and picked each other up after heartbreaking defeats.

Looking back, I now realize that the greatest gift you gave me wasn’t just the pursuit of a dream—it was the people, the lessons, and the character forged through every triumph and every setback. Those experiences continue to shape not only the coach I am today, but the person I strive to be every single day.
