Where did you spend your Forth of July? Several of our CCSC members made way to Anchorage Marina near the Baltimore Inner Harbor intent on seeing the fireworks. They found relief from the heat visiting the National Aquarium (in the AC), the B&O Railroad Museum (in the AC), and a Happy Hour or two (in the AC), there is a theme here. Saturday saw a light breeze from the north, so the members headed out on the Thompson's PATRIOT in what was supposed to be 5-6kts, ended up 10+ and some splendid beam reaches across where the Key Bridge once stood.

Warning for the chesapeake. This map shows the probability of a specific bacteria found in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. It is a flesh eating bacteria and is known as vibrio vulnificus.

Sorry to miss the picnic today but boat maintenance calls!

Still promoting CCSC today! Our marina remodel removed the bulletin board so no place for a flyer but there is space for business cards. This morning I put out these cards in a small display. I have two extra displays if you have a place to put CCSC business cards on display let me know and I can pass one on to you!

Has anyone ever "hard water" sailed? I'm not a huge cold weather fan. but this looks like fun!

Most sailors lay their boats up for the winter and console themselves by reading sailing adventures when outside temperatures drop below freezing; a lucky few head south to the tropics.
