Just wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude to legendary Detroit commentator Terry Sullivan for all his help with our The Territories: Detroit release.

Terry not only was kind enough to voice the trailer, he also went through every Detroit match we had (well over 100), rated every one, and gave his input on what should be included*, answered questions and gave us the behind the scenes scoops (did you know the Detroit El Santo was Gil Guerrero? We didn't!)

Thank you again Mr Sullivan!

*Terry was against including the Shark Cage Match, so if you're mad about sitting through it, that's on us.

And another huge thanks to photographer Dave Burzynski who graciously provided photos for the cover. Thank you sir!

I inadvertently generated a bit of excitement over on Twitter complaining about our lack of equipment to digitize 1" and 2" tapes. So while folks are looking, I figured I'd try here, too.

We have hundreds of 1" and 2" tapes we need decks so we can digitize. I'm aware of many fine services than can do them, but with the volume of tape we have, that's cost prohibitive. So we're trying to get the decks to do it in-house.

So, if you have any leads, ANY working 1" Type C deck would be great.
Most 2" Quad decks are the size of a Geo Metro and run on 220v and compressed air, so I'd need a smaller unit like an Ampex AVR-2 type 'portable' deck (still friggin gigantic).

We'd by happy to buy/rent/borrow/use/trade/whatever.

I'm in MA, and Mario is in NJ, but we'd take a drive for the right deck(s) at the right price.

Here's a pile of Memphis reels in the queue. We also have tons from Southwest, Detroit, Mid-America, ICW, International Wrestling, International World Wrestling, and a heck of a lot more.

We're devastated to hear of the passing of Dory Funk Jr. The Funks and Savoldis have been close since the days of Angelo & Dory Sr. When Mario arrived in Amarillo, it was Junior who taught Mario the in's-and-outs of booking Texas rasslin', and brought him to buy a pair of cowboy boots so he'd look the part.

On a professional level, I don't think it's any kind of stretch to say that the success of ICW was built on the Dory Funk Jr./Carlos Colon feud. We might not be here now but for Dory Jr.

Our sincerest condolences to Marti and the rest of the Funk family. Rest in peace, Champ.

On this day 25 years ago, we lost the legendary NWA Promoter (and arguably the only reason it still exists) Dennis Coralluzzo

If you ever had the pleasure of going to one of his shows, you know you were going to see something you never saw before; like former WWWF World Champion The Iron Sheik doing the Macarena.

RIP Dennis.

Article on Jumpin' Joe/S&S Express from a 1985 Portland Wrestling program. Not sure why they chose to kayfabe in the original JJ. The story is fine and accurate if they used Angelo.
