19+ Division Semifinal Preview

Tuesday Night | 7:00 PM

The postseason continues as four teams battle for a chance to play in the championship game, while two others look to finish their seasons with a victory in the consolation matchup.

Lakewood Ranch High School
Braves vs. Marlins

The Marlins enter as the second seed after a strong regular season built around speed, timely hitting, and solid pitching. They will face a Braves team that found its stride at the right time, advancing with a dominant playoff win over the Red Sox. Led by longtime manager Travis Lear, the Braves are looking to make another deep postseason run after reaching last year's championship game. Expect a competitive matchup between two teams with plenty of playoff experience.

Southeast High School
Reds vs. Orioles

The top-seeded Orioles begin their playoff journey after earning a first-round bye. Throughout the season, the Orioles have been one of the league's most complete teams, combining strong pitching, aggressive baserunning, and a powerful lineup. Pirates vs. Red Sox

While not part of the championship bracket, both teams will be looking to end their seasons on a positive note. The Pirates spent much of the year near the top of the standings and feature one of the league's most balanced lineups. The Red Sox have battled all season and will be looking to finish strong against a talented Pirates squad. Expect both teams to come ready to compete and close out the season with a win.

First pitch for all three games is scheduled for 7:00 PM. Championship game spots are on the line as the road to the title reaches its final stages.

⚾ 19+ Playoff Recap ⚾

🏟️ Reds upset Pirates 4-2 in playoff thriller

The Reds pulled off a dramatic late-inning comeback Tuesday night, scoring three runs over the final two innings to defeat the Pirates 4-2 and advance to the semifinals.

In a tight pitchers’ duel, the Pirates struck first in the fifth inning on a wild pitch before the Reds answered with a run of their own on a passed ball in the sixth. The Pirates regained the lead later in the inning when Phil Dorso grounded out to drive in a run and make it 2-1.

But the Reds delivered when it mattered most.

In the top of the eighth, Damien Moore tied the game with an RBI single before David DuBrule (FA) ripped a clutch two-run double to give the Reds a 4-2 lead they would not surrender.

Bryan Peraza was outstanding in relief for the Reds, allowing just one run over four innings while striking out five to earn the win. Starter Hunter Stellato also delivered a strong outing, giving up just one hit and one run over five innings while striking out four.

Dom Stockey led the Reds offense with two hits from the nine spot in the lineup, while the defense turned two double plays to help secure the victory.

The Pirates were led offensively by Nick D’Amico, Matt Likins, and Nick Gerzeny, who each collected hits in the loss.

⚾ 19+ Division Playoff Preview ⚾

The regular season is complete, and now it's win-or-go-home time as the 19+ Division playoffs begin Tuesday night! Two first-round matchups will determine who advances to face the top-seeded Orioles and second-seeded Marlins in the semifinals.

🏟️ #4 Braves (3-8) vs. #5 Red Sox (3-8)
📍 Southeast High School | 🕖 7:00 PM

The defending finalist Braves and the Red Sox meet once again in what has quickly become one of the league's best rivalries. These teams split their regular season meetings, but the Braves claimed the higher seed thanks to the tiebreaker on run differential.

The Braves are led by longtime manager Travis Lear, whose club is hoping to make another deep postseason run after reaching last year's championship game. Veterans such as Lear, Marcano, Willingham, Carrasquel, and Roffe have helped keep the Braves competitive all season, and they are coming off an impressive offensive performance in their most recent victory.

The Red Sox will look to spoil those plans behind a lineup featuring Gallardo, Bonnett, Lavelle, Shepherd, and Davis. When the Red Sox offense gets rolling, they can score runs in bunches and have shown throughout the season that they are capable of hanging with any team in the division.

With both teams finishing 3-8 and splitting the season series, expect a tightly contested battle where every pitch and every defensive play could determine who moves on.

🏟️ #3 Pirates (6-5) vs. #6 Reds (3-8)
📍 Lakewood Ranch High School | 🕖 7:00 PM

The Pirates enter the postseason as the third seed after another strong campaign built around timely hitting, aggressive baserunning, and solid pitching. Players such as D'Amico, LeBlanc, Gerzeny, Dorso, Delpiaz, and McAvoy have been key contributors throughout the season and will be looking to continue their momentum in the playoffs.

The Reds may be the sixth seed, but they have proven they are capable of pulling off an upset. Debrule has been one of the hottest hitters in the division, recently launching multiple home runs, while Rodriguez, Soles, Stockey, and Shearlock have helped make the Reds offense dangerous from top to bottom.

The Pirates will be favored on paper, but playoff baseball rarely follows the script. If the Reds can continue their recent offensive surge, this could become one of the night's most entertaining matchups.

🏆 Waiting in the Wings

The top two seeds earned first-round byes after outstanding regular seasons:

🥇 Orioles (9-1) – Regular season champions and the team everyone is chasing. A balanced lineup, strong pitching staff, and consistent defense have made them the league's standard all season.

🥈 Marlins (7-3) – One of the hottest teams entering the postseason. With explosive offense, speed on the bases, and quality pitching, the Marlins will be a difficult matchup for whoever advances.

The road to the championship begins Tuesday night. Survive and advance! ⚾🔥
