The second annual battle of the Boroughs Food Drive has come to a close.

The winner of this year is Atglen Borough!
Christiana Borough came in second and Parkesburg came in third.

Last year our total amount of pounds collected was 5654.

This year our total amount of food collected was an amazing 7067 pounds!

Big shout out to everyone that helped with this Food drive from the community that donated, the committees that pulled this off, to the volunteers and the businesses that took in collection boxes.
Also to the Octorara Area Food Cupboard for accommodating all of us in weighing our donations each week.

Tonight’s the night ! Come to Minch Park 6 to 8 p.m. . free Kona, ice , free, face, painting , music , games for kids , meet your first responders ! Chik-fil-A , and delightful treats from flower girl breads. 
And the last chance to donate to Battle of the Boroughs final drop off at the food bank is tomorrow morning.

Aaaand Parkesburg takes the lead! 🎉

This is due to a VERY generous donation from our wonderful mayor John Hagan and his wife, Kit in honor of their late son, Vincent Emondi.

Thank you to Amy Chaballa-Wilde and The Parkesburg Pickleball crew for taking our huge haul over to Octorara Area Food Cupboard this week!
Thank you to Parkesburg Grocery Outlet for helping round out our donations this week.

Thank you to our special little shopper Cassidy! She was a big help!!

We have a week and 1/2 left of the battle.
Your impact from your donations as well as the other 2 boroughs has been tremendous!
