I’ve taught a lot of trainings over the years.

Some in cozy classrooms.
Some in loud gymnasiums.
Some on Zoom screens where half the cameras are off.

But no matter where I go, I always ask the same question at the start…
“Who’s here because this was required?”

And nearly every time—hands go up.

I get it.
We work in a field full of requirements.
Licensing, QRIS, state systems… they all have boxes to check.
Professional development hours are one of them.

But here’s what I know…
Just because something is required doesn’t mean it has to feel like a waste of time.
And just because you didn’t choose to be there doesn’t mean you can’t choose what you take from it.

So every time I teach, whether it’s a state-mandated course or a local workshop, I start by acknowledging the weight of that.
And then I offer an invitation…

What if we make this meaningful, anyway?

What if something in this next hour sparks a shift?
A new idea.
A fresh perspective.
A question that stays with you through the week.

My goal is never to impress.
It’s to connect.
To help you walk away with one thing that you can take back into your classroom, your leadership, your coaching practice and use right away.

Because I’ve sat in those trainings too.
The ones that felt like a checkbox.
And I promised myself that if I ever had the mic, I’d do it differently.

So that’s what I’m building now.
Something for early childhood educators, leaders and coaches that honors your time, your effort, and your expertise.
Something that doesn’t feel like one more thing—but the right thing, at the right time.

It’s coming soon.
And I can’t wait to share it with you.

I remember one of my first weeks as a coach.
I had a notbook, a plan, and a calendar full of classrooms to visit.

What I didn’t have?
Time.
Trust.
And the space to figure out how to build real relationships while still moving the work forward.

Coaching, they said, would be the “bridge” between what was expected and what was possible. But no one told me how heavy that bridge could feel to carry.

There were days I couldn’t find consistency in my schedule, let alone in my approach.
Days where teachers were too overwhelmed to engage, and honestly, I didn’t blame them.
I was asking them to stretch…while they were already at their edge.

What I’ve learned since then is this…
Good coaching isn’t about fixing.
It’s not about standards or checklists.
It’s about people.

It’s about showing up, even when the schedule shifts.
It’s about asking better questions.
It’s about holding space for growth, without judgment, and without rushing.

Coaching in early childhood is layered and messy and so worth it.

And here’s the truth…coaches deserve support too.
We’re often asked to help reframe the narrative for teachers, especially when their story has been one of being unseen or undervalued.
But who helps reframe ours?

That’s why I’ve been building something that gives coaches the same care we’re expected to give everyone else.
Because we all need someone in our corner.
We all deserve a coach, too.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re the only one trying to hold it all—
You’re not.
And you don’t have to.

Coaches need coaches too💜

I see you.

The center director trying to hold it all together while half your team is out.
The program manager who spends evenings Googling training ideas because someone needs support.
The education coordinator who wants to uplift your teachers—but can’t do it all alone.

I’ve been in your shoes.
And I remember the weight of wanting to do right by staff—while juggling regulations, ratios, hiring, budgets, and everyone looking to you for answers.

That’s why I created ECEPD.
Not to add one more thing to your plate…
But to lighten it.

✨ Imagine this:
✅ Workshops that actually speak to what your teachers are facing—right now.
✅ Bite-sized 15-minute PDs your team can do over lunch.
✅ Follow-up coaching to help new learning stick.
✅ Resources and reflection tools made just for you as a leader—because your wellbeing matters too.

It’s more than professional development.
It’s a movement toward culture-building, toward retention, toward real support.

When we invest in people, programs transform.

If you’re looking for a new way to support your team—one that doesn’t require you to build it all from scratch—let me know I’d love to share more.

Because when teachers feel seen, supported, and empowered…classrooms thrive.
And so do you.

📣 It’s time to rethink how we do PD in early childhood.
If you’ve ever walked out of a training thinking,
“That had nothing to do with my actual classroom…”
You’re not alone.

📌 PD shouldn’t be one-size-fits-none.
📌 It shouldn’t drain your time or energy.
📌 And it definitely shouldn’t cost a week’s paycheck.

That’s why I’ve created something new.
Something real.
Something that actually supports teachers, leaders, and coaches—without the fluff.

👀 ECEPD is almost here.
It’s professional development designed with YOU in mind—affordable, flexible, and rooted in real-life practice.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything with nothing… this is for you.

In early childhood education, we don’t often have the gift of time.
And we certainly don’t have the gift of money.
But we still show up—every single day—with heart, intention, and a commitment to children and families.

That’s why I’ve been working behind the scenes on something just for you.

Because the PD you deserve should:

Save you time, not steal more of it

Honor your expertise, not overlook it

Offer support, not add more weight

ECEPD is built with your reality in mind—and it’s almost ready.

This is for the teachers who are tired of one-size-fits-none workshops.
This is for the ones doing heart work—without the backup they deserve.
This is for you.

Something’s coming—and it’s built for YOU.

If you’ve ever sat through a professional development session and thought:

“This doesn’t apply to my classroom.”

“They’ve clearly never worked in ECE.”

“I don’t have time for this—and I definitely don’t have support to implement it…”

I hear you.
Because I’ve been there too—as a teacher, a leader, a coach, and a trainer.

That’s why I’ve been quietly building something behind the scenes that’s designed to actually support early childhood educators, leaders, and coaches.

Think:
→ PD that speaks to your real daily work
→ Tools you can use right away
→ Follow-up coaching to turn information into transformation
→ A supportive space that respects your time, your experience, and your heart

This is ECEPD.
And it’s almost ready.

I’ll never forget the first time I had to lead a training.
I had just started working for the Department of Education in Arizona. I was hired as a coach—but quickly learned that coaching came with something I hadn’t expected: professional development facilitation.

I’ll be honest: that first session?
I stood in front of 60 teachers and thought I might throw up.

I had been teaching children for over a decade—but teaching adults is a whole different story. And that first day taught me that, fast.

Since then, I’ve studied the craft.
I’ve watched great facilitators and learned how they connect, how they tell stories, how they see people.
I’ve studied adult learning principles.
And I’ve practiced. Over and over.

Today, standing in front of a room full of educators, leaders, and coaches?
It feels like home.
It’s one of the great joys of my life—to create space that feels human, supportive, and real.
And I always show up as both teacher and student.

If you’ve ever been in a session with me—whether it was one hour or all day—
I’d love to hear a memory from our time together.
Drop it in the comments!

And if you want to be one of the first to know what I’ve been working on behind the scenes—
