‼️Important Update‼️

Attached is a changed concussion testing schedule due to softball making the state tournament and some football practice changes. There are also July make up dates added. Please be aware that this schedule could still change!

Due to softball regionals, tomorrow’s girls soccer concussion testing is cancelled and moved to Thursday, May 14 at 6 pm. I apologize for the inconvenience. If that doesn’t work for an athlete they can come with another team when it fits their schedule.

Parents and Athletes:

This is the Concussion Testing for the 2026-2027 school year. Please monitor this page for any changes due to spring sports post season play. All testing will occur at Erickson in my office under the visitors bleachers. Current South students should bring their school iPad for testing. I will provide iPads for incoming freshman. All crew, bowling, Southern Belle, and Marching Band students athletes need tested due to a change in policy. For other sports, only 9th and 11th graders for the 2026-2027 school year need tested. Please be aware that while concussion testing typically takes an hour, it can be longer due to the number of athletes.

There is a new physical form for the 2026-2027 school year. All athletes will be required to have a physical done on this form. Please be aware that doctors may have older versions of the form that we cannot accept. Physicals for the 2026-2027 school year must be completed after May 1, 2026. You can find the physical on the WVSSAC website below or stop by the trays outside the Athletic Office to pick up a copy. All physicals should be turned in to the athletic office.

As a staff member for the Camden Clark Health and Wellness Center, Amanda Moore is currently the athletic trainer for Parkersburg South Highschool. She has worked for WVU Medicine for 8 years and been with Parkersburg South Highschool also for 8 years.
