To celebrate the last practice of the summer, the team went full Adam Sandler for a theme. Now that’s what I call a high-quality fit!

Great job from this group all summer as a team and looking forward to seeing them compete this fall in their other sports and hit the court come November! Thank you ladies for all your hard work!

Our team had the pleasure today of hosting Estelline/Hendricks, South Dakota for a scrimmage as they were in town for a tournament tomorrow. Even more special as they are coached by Blake Saathoff, who spent 10 years in the Panther Basketball program as a coach at various levels, most recently, as our JV Coach until 2025. Thank you to the Redhawks for making the trip, and good luck this coming season!

Also, we celebrated a birthday at the scrimmage, Happy 14th Birthday, Mya!!

WHAT A WEEK!!! Over 80 campers between Grades 1-8 took the court for our Parkers Prairie Youth Basketball camp! Kids worked on skills on all phases of basketball from Monday-Wednesday and finished today competing to put those skills to the test!!! Several campers from each session were awarded with Panther Awards as well for their outstanding contributions all three days.

A huge thank you goes out to all of the girls’ basketball players who volunteered their time and talents, Coach Grinager and Coach Holm for being great all week, and the kids who worked incredibly hard and always being willing to learn! Excited to see all of them to continue to build their games on the basketball court!

The Parkers Prairie Girls' Basketball Banquet was held on Monday, March 30th, at Rock N' Willow Ranch. The night honored the achievements and accomplishments of the girls' basketball programs, including C-Squad, JV, and Varsity, as well as the individual accolades and awards presented to athletes. The Varsity team received the honors of being members of the MGBCA (Minnesota Girls' Basketball Coaches Association) All-Academic Gold Team, earning a 3.764 GPA as a team.

Panthers fall by 7 to Hancock and end their season. A slow first half gave the Panthers a 9 point deficit at the break and were down by as many as 16 in the second half, but that did not deter the fight from the visitors as they stormed back and held the lead for several minutes down the stretch. All in all though, it was not enough as the Owls pulled away and will advance to play Hillcrest. The group showed incredible fight and although the deposit they put in did not have a return on the scoreboard tonight, the adversity they constantly battle and respond from will have its return in due time. Proud is an understatement.

The loss ends the careers of three Panther Basketball players: Alicia Penrose, Alyssa Revering, and Evy Grinager. Thank you for your dedication in your basketball journey and everything you all did to make a positive impact on Panther Basketball.
