There’s a whole lot more behind the scenes than what you see when a horse steps onto the treadmill. 🤎🐴

Running an equine conditioning & rehabilitation facility means long days, specialized equipment, constant upkeep, continuing education, insurance, maintenance, hands-on care, and a whole lot of time spent making sure every horse that comes through these doors gets the individual attention they deserve.

When you leave your horse with me, you’re not simply paying for “treadmill time.”

You’re paying for someone to watch how your horse moves. To notice the little things. To adjust their workload when they need it. To keep their environment clean and safe. To put in the hours behind the scenes maintaining the equipment and facility that make this work possible.

Most importantly, you’re trusting me with an animal that means the world to you — and I don’t take that lightly. ❤️

As a small equine business, I thought it would be fun to pull back the curtain a little and show what actually goes into keeping a facility like this running.

Rosie has officially headed home after 4 weeks of conditioning, and boyyyy is this girl feeling spicy and ready for action! 🌶️🐴

This young’n has made some seriously impressive progress in just four weeks. Not only is her body looking phenomenal, but her mental game is stronger than ever, too!

One of my favorite things about the treadmill is that the benefits go far beyond physical conditioning. The workouts are incredibly valuable for the horse’s mental development and body awareness as well.

Throughout their workouts, horses learn subtle cues that encourage them to engage and carry themselves correctly, develop better coordination, and become more comfortable using their bodies in a balanced way. And the really cool part? **That new found knowledge doesn’t stop when they step off the treadmill—it can translate directly into the saddle when they get home! **

Rosie also enjoyed some great massages during her stay with us. This gave her an opportunity to relax, release tension, and support healthy muscle recovery as her body adapted to the increased workload. It was another valuable piece of the puzzle in helping her feel comfortable, balanced, and ready to perform at her best.

Around here, not a day goes by where your horse isn’t learning, practicing, adapting, or achieving something—both mentally and physically.

Four weeks later, Rosie is heading home stronger, more confident, more educated, and quite possibly… a little too excited about having a job again. 😂🌶️

I’d say she’s ready to get back to work! 🐴💨
