Strong work 8U Pioneers!
They won 1st place in the Tier 2 Championship at the Walt Frazier tournament this weekend! It was the only tournament in state that even had an 8U division this season. So glad they had the opportunity to play. We even made some new friends. Great job 8U!
Special shout out to two Pioneers players from our 8U team:
Abel Brick for winning the Brandon Carlo Two Way Player Award! Amazing work Abel- a well deserved award!
Joey Weibel for being runner up on the best goalie from the Skills Competition! Your hard work was on full display.

Pioneers 12U team brings home the gold at the NARCh qualifier in Colorado Springs!
This is a huge achievement for them and for our program. After finishing second in the last two tournaments, they finally came out on top! Strong work kids! We are so proud.

Pioneers 14U battled hard against some very talented teams this weekend. Every tournament they improve and grow, though I know those words offer little comfort to the players post game. As always, we take the lessons learned and go back to work.

Congratulations again to all our players this weekend!

21 games later and the Pioneers teams have finally finished their TORHS regional weekend. Our amazing team parents and fans have all the pictures. Please share and feel free to post. Thank you for helping document this weekend!

Final results:
10U- Tier 2 Champions (3rd place out of all 5 teams)
12U Gold- Tier 1 Runners Up (2nd place out of 4 teams total)
12U Silver- Tier 2 Runners Up (4th place out of 4 teams total)
14U- Tier 2 Runners Up (4th place out of 5 teams total)
16U- 5th place (of 5 teams total)

We also had two players receive individual awards within their divisions:
12U Top Scorer- Lincoln Tubbs
14U Top Scorer- Brayden Russell

Final standings and game scores only show part of the story. Across the board, our teams have expanded and become more competitive, putting up great battles against talented teams. In three years, our improvement is undeniable. I couldn’t be more appreciative to the parents and players who have gone through the trenches with us as we build. Additionally, the outreach to new families has played a huge part in our successes this season.

Thank you parents, grandparents, siblings, extended family, and friends for all that you do to support your Pioneers hockey players. These tournament weekends are long and it does take a village.

Food, naps, and showers for everyone! See you on Thursday for practice!

Quick TORHS updates!
We had some hard fought battles today across all teams.
10U and 12U teams have earned their spots in playoff games tomorrow. 14U still has two round robin games to play tomorrow to secure their spot.
Our young 16U team fought hard against some very talented (and physically much larger) teams. They didn’t make it to the playoff round tomorrow, but we are so proud of them. Growth can be hard to see (or appreciate) when the emotions are high.

It was a long day of hockey for a lot of these kids!!
Some had rec league games, others had spring ice hockey tryouts… Then a Pioneers scrimmage to top it off!

Thank you parents and players for a great night of hockey! It is so fun to share the love of hockey with your players.

In less than two weeks, we will have FIVE teams competing in TORHS regionals in Colorado Springs!

Congratulations to all our teams that played in the Mile High Mania tournament this weekend!

For quite a few of our players, this was their first taste of competitive inline play. This level of youth inline hockey is hard to find consistently within our state and I’m very proud of how each team showed up and played with heart. While it is no fun to lose, it is unfortunately necessary for growth and will make us better and stronger in the future. Practice continues as we prepare for the next tournament- TORHS regionals, April 10-12!

Big shout out to our 12U Pioneers Gold team- they finished in 2nd place in their division! Way to represent Pios!
