June 21 is the longest day of the year, the sun at the height of its power, the light held as long as it will ever be. The fire has fully arrived.

This sacred sound journey gathers in that fullness.

We’ll begin with a guided journey, where you’ll be met by Sol, the radiant goddess of the sun. Her energy moves through you like warmth in the bones, clearing, softening, and calling forward your light.

Vairāgya is one of the most misunderstood teachings in the yoga tradition. The word is often translated as non-attachment, and people assume that means feeling less or holding life at arm’s length.

Think about watching a sunset when you are fully present with it, without reaching for your phone, or wishing it would last longer. Just seeing the color moving through the sky and feeling it move through you. That quality of receiving, wide open and unhurried, is the actual teaching.

It sees clinging as the source of suffering. But through non attachment we open ourselves up to feel deeper.

In Vedic tradition, soma is the moon’s sacred nectar. It’s the substance of bliss and expanded consciousness. It offers a particular quality of softening. It’s the loosening that happens only when the nervous system finally trusts it’s safe to let go.

Last night we worked with that in ceremony. Moving beyond the story, into the emotion, and deeper still into the somatic sensation of the thing that keeps returning. We let the soma wash it away.

These are the nights meant for ceremony.

On May 31, a rare blue moon rises, amplified and luminous. Full moons have always been for release. The blue moon deepens the tide of that calling.

We’ll gather beneath it in sound. The bowls, the gong, the heartbeat of the drum, all calling to the surface what has been waiting in the deep.

The blue moon will not come again like this for years. Come let it find you.

A few of my energetic hygiene practices. Tell me yours.

🩵 Breath is the original clearing- A hand on my heart and breathing until I can feel it. Long, slow exhales.

🩵 Tuning fork to my heart chakra- Is is the most direct path I have found into my subtle channels.

🩵 Chanting- It's home I come back to my own frequency.

🩵 An intentional shower- I use water deliberately as a releasing. I set a clear intention before stepping in and let the water carry what doesn't belong to me anymore.

🩵 My chakapa and my drum- They reach the most ancient part of me.

🩵 Shake, jump, dance- until something loosens. It's rarely graceful.

🩵 Altar and offering- My full presence. My full attention.

Lalita Sundari, the goddess of sacred desire, whose beauty pulls the whole universe toward her like a tide.

She is the sweetness at the center of everything. She is honey. She is the blush of dawn. She is the reason you want anything at all.

To know her is to remember that desire is sacred.

Tonight’s integration circle was supposed to be 90 minutes. We were together for three hours.

I have been sitting in circle for a long time. I have held space in places that would make most people flinch. And still, tonight, these women taught me something.

They completely leaned in. They sat in the full light of being seen and they stayed there. They spoke with such grace and wisdom. They dropped out of their heads and into their bodies and they remaimed. They came with vulnerability. And they came with a fierce love for one another that filled every corner of the room.

They embodied Kali.

Circle becomes medicine through what the women bring to one another. I witnessed that so completely tonight that I am still full from it.
