Halloween may be over but we all need to be scared about the ever increasing push for preemption and the loss of local control. The density we have already been forced to allow around every transit stop will have serious impacts for our communities, from traffic to overcrowding to a loss of our unique identities as cities. We all want our children to be able to own homes but we need to approach housing affordability thoughtfully and and place it where it makes sense and will not overwhelm infrastructure or existing neighborhoods.
